What do you do for exercise? And no I don't mean clicking a mouse or keyboard. :tearsofjoy:

I enjoy running, I have a typical circuit of about two miles that I do around my neighborhood a couple times a week.

I also have a gym membership to a big box gym though I haven't been going consistently. Now that I'm out of school for the semester I'd like to get back in the rhythm. Usually would do a combination of strength training and cardio.

Is there any type of exercise you'd like to do more of, or something new you'd like to try?

Im autistic. Part of my autism is I pace. All the time. Even when I aint pacing im rocking in my chair usually handflapping. It's part of why I can't gain any weight even tho I eat like a horse.

So walking/running/handflapping/rocking sitting down is my exercise. Im in constant motion

Edit: this might not sound like much. But when I meant im constantly pacing I mean it. My feet will hurt and I still can't get myself to sit down most the time

I'm a runner, have been since high school, so a half century - eek! I typically run 4 times a week, probably about 30 miles a week, depending on various things. Did a half marathon last Sunday.
I used to go to a gym for anaerobic stuff and swimming but covid knocked that on the head. I suppose I'll rejoin in October for 6 months so I can still exercise when the weather is grim.

I used to cycle two or three times a week somewhere between 80 to 100km, stomach ops put an end to that.

I've done 1/2 hours yoga every morning when i get up. Have done for
30+ years.

At least twice a week i like to walk, we are surrounded by forest to get lost in and have a couple of river to follow. It varies between 5 to 15 km

And i counting vigorous sex a couple of times a week ex exercise. More would be nice but doctors orders forbid.

Housework after 3 kids also has a tendency to keep one fit.

Do you get tired a lot because of this?

whenever.
A staff member at the group home find it funny. She says it reminds her of that tiktok trend where the sound goes Zooom. Zooom. Zooom. Crash.
And the person in the trend is moving their head as if they watching someone run back and forth.

I try to cycle twice a week to Wimbledon from where I live near Clapham Common. That's 30 mins there and another 30 back, down to the valley of the river Wandle and up the other side, each way. I go to buy bread from Paul, the French baker in Wimbledon village, or else to walk for a while on Wimbledon Common. (I used to swim a couple of times a week at the local baths, but stopped when I found the chlorine was affecting my singing voice.)

I do 20 minutes of Tai Chi in the morning and walk the dog for about 30 minutes twice a day. And 2 or 3 times a week walk around trying to take photos of birds for 3 or 4 hours but that has taken a bit of a hit because of lock downs and the weather the last couple of years.

I'd love to see more bird photos from you!

How did you learn Tai Chi?

I used to hit the gym 4 days a week for Muay Thai training which is pretty intense, as well as cycling around the neighbourhood weather permitting.

Then once I started getting mental health injections my desire to exercise plummeted.

So these days I'm pretty much just limited to walking 8km a day for work 6 days a week then if the weather is good and I can shake the lethargy I go out for a bike ride on Sunday.

I do Tai Chi for about an hour each day. Bike ride about 5 to 10 miles, or more weather permitting. Swimming laps, or in lake weather permitting.
