Have you ever been on a haunted house tour?

Have you ever been on a haunted house tour?I have not yet.:)

Went on the Queen Mary hunted tour.
Basically we were shown areas of frequent ghost sightings. A room were bad things were reported to happen so they no longer allow people to stay there.
The bow of the ship were 100's of soldiers were killed when it ran into another ship. They said if you listen, you could still hear the screams of the soldiers.
And, we got to sit in the chair of some state room were it is claimed some mysterious lady ghost frequently appears.

We took pictures but didn't see any ghosts. :(

Yes, I have. It was at the Crescent Hotel & Spa in Eureka Springs, AR. It was my first official ghost tour and my once cautiously skeptical husband's first experience witnessing poltergeist activity up close and personal. Come to think of it, I suppose I've led unofficial ghost tours while investigating haunted locations because I've allowed other people to participate in my investigation.

As a paranormal investigator myself, I can personally attest to the fact that the paranormal is unpredictable. I've been to haunted locations to investigate, and I didn't hear any disembodied voices or see any spirits. I didn't capture any voices on my EVP recorder or digital recorder, and no voices came through on my spirit box. I didn't capture anything with my SLS camera or my thermal imaging camera either. And this is despite the fact that I could feel the presence of many spirits around me because I'm a medium. On the other hand, I've been to several places that aren't known to be haunted, and I was bombarded by the spirits there. I was able to capture multiple EVPs, hear the spirits speak through my spirit box, capture images on both my SLS camera and thermal imaging camera, and capture pictures of spirits on my digital camera. The truth is, spirits don't normally perform on command. Spirits will often respond if they're treated with respect and asked politely for their cooperation, or they'll respond with a vengeance if they're provoked to anger. I've never demanded a spirit communicate with me because I know better than to disrespect the dead.

Not a tour but i've lived in two haunted houses.

Unbeknownst to my in-laws, there's a spirit portal in their basement. It's located in the far back bedroom. I haven't told them because I don't want to make them afraid to be in their own house. I don't go to their house often because my presence causes some activity that makes everyone else in the house feel uneasy. I don't know what caused the portal, but it's been there for some time. I'd like to invite the local paranormal group to the house to help me document evidence, but I don't want to tell my in-laws about the portal.

No actual tours, but I used to explore haunted places (which ultimately lead me away from believing in such things).

Do you think such portals are doorways to the spirit world (where human spirits dwell) or do they lead to some other dimensions where non-human (alien or demonic) entities reside? o_O

A spirit portal is a doorway to the other side where human spirits pass through into the physical world. A portal could be anywhere, and it could be a place, an object, or a person. Mirrors and other reflective items are believed to be used by spirits as portals.

On second thought. It's better not to tempt fate.:)

Interacting with spirits or anything else paranormal certainly isn't something that shouldn't be taken lightly. It's also something that people shouldn't mess around with just for the thrill of it because it can be dangerous if it's not done properly. If a person angers a spirit by provoking it, then that spirit could follow the person home and wreck havoc in their life. If the spirit is angry enough, then the person will begin to experience poltergeist activity in their home, and they could even be physically harmed by the spirit. So, if I see someone smart-mouthing and provoking the spirits at a haunted location, I'll warn them to stop, or else they could regret it later on.
