I got Covid

Hello so I tested positive for Covid today and I'm supposed to get some medicine soon to help with the discomfort. I started having symptoms yesterday when it started as a dry mouth. I've had other illnesses that started on with the dry mouth as a first sign so I had already suspected that I caught something.

Only partially. I would have got my second dose but I had issues after the vaccine. At some point, I was not able to work because of these issues that eventually went away on it's own thankfully.

If you are partially vaccinated you may need to be a bit careful. But there are good antivirals now and even one shot will help a lot.

So long as you are vaccinated it will be a mild illness. We've all had it now in the UK, even my 94yr old dad. Nothing much to worry about, unless you have some kind of health issue that weakens you.

I've only been particularly vaccinated. My head doesn't hurt as bad since taking some medicine. I plan to take some more of it.

Partial vaccination helps. And so does being young. You may feel awful but you will almost certainly recover. I am getting up to the dangerous ages and there were no vaccines when I got mine. It was about three days of misery for me, but it never got into my lungs. And though there were no vaccines there were tests when I got mine and it was confirmed. Rest up, and if it does become a lung issue do not be afraid to call the doctors.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery Psalm 23.

Luckily most people who get it these days only develop mild illness. So hoping that's true for you too.

You should be fine. But do watch out for some after-effects. I got the original version (before there were any vaccines) and although I wasn't very ill, I did find I had some symptoms of tiredness that went on for some weeks, coming on the day after even moderate exercise. I was a bit weird. But it went away. (I also lost my sense of taste and smell but I don't think the current version tends to do that to you.)

Best wishes, I had it at the end of January, I'd had all my jabs and the symptoms were relatively minor.
Hope you've had your jabs.

I hope you feel better very very fast.

If you are prescribed "paxlovid", there are a LOT of drugs that are can cause issues if taken with paxlovid. I've found that pharmacists don't warn people (maybe some do) about drugs that are issues if taken together.

You can find something for doctors that list drugs that cause issues Search for "PAXLOVID Patient Eligibility Screening Checklist Tool for Prescribers"

I took a anti nausea drug. I don't think it is Paxlovid. It dissolves on the tongue.

Are you overall healthy? You should be fine.. everybody tells me the worst part is a lack of energy that's hard to come back from quickly.
