Freedom of ReligionIt is possible to be noahide and christian at the same time if you do not believe in the trinity?
This is not a simple question, nor is the answer simple or resolvedIt is possible to be noahide and christian at the same time if you do not believe in the trinity?
What's your opinion of John 16:23?It is possible to be noahide and christian at the same time if you do not believe in the trinity?
You can't be in certain groups of churches, however there are churches that will have you as a Noachide with atypical views of major doctrines that are compatible with Noachide considerations. It is possible to be both under these conditions. This will not satisfy many people though. You will be a bit of a loner but not entirely alone. After having read rosend's link (which is interesting and succinct) I think rejecting the authority behind the dogma is what probably moves you towards Noahide status, because it gives you freedom of interpretation. Trinity can be understood in ways that are not problematic. It is all about authority. It is possible to be noahide and christian at the same time if you do not believe in the trinity?

Why did you ask me that question? im just curiousWhat's your opinion of John 16:23?
If I understand the rules properly, asking for something from God in Jesus' name would be prohibited for a noahide. Why did you ask me that question? im just curious
This is really a very complicated question. There is a conflict between those Jewish Scholars who consider Christianity to be Avodah Zarah (idolatry) and those who consider it Sheetuf (associating something besides God with God). But if the person doesn't believe Jesus to be God, aka they reject the trinity and modalism, they really are neither Avadah Zarah nor Sheetuf. I cannot find anything online that addresses this situation, so I cannot really answer your question. It is possible to be noahide and christian at the same time if you do not believe in the trinity?
And your unambiguous, uncontested definition of "Christian" would be what?It is possible to be noahide and christian at the same time if you do not believe in the trinity?

I would point out that modalism is also a heresy in Christianity and not how the Trinity is to be understood. This is really a very complicated question. In the practical sense, however, it is as Rival was saying -- such a person would still be rejected by Noahides and Jews.
