Dystopian Democrats misinformation board's "Mary Poppins" calls for editable tweets.

Must be an honor to have twitter certify your trustworthiness.
One way Twitter can monetize is make folks pay for their trustworthiness certification. :D
Well of course, money obviously buys 'trust' in this day and age.

What you can't earn, one always can buy. Ahem.. if your, of course, good on the moola.

She's a paid liar. They chose an actor. They want someone to act and lie for them. Jen Psaki is another paid liar. I can see they eat their own soul everyday for a paycheck.

As a Christian, if you had a genuine moral problem with liars, then you wouldn't politically support Trump or any other GOP politician.

I do not support Trump. But he still lies less than Biden ... who only gets away with all his lies because ... we all just assume he can't remember the last thing he said.

Senility is the best defense to maintain 'truthfulness' in one's waning presidential years.

What a racket!

Fair enough. If you have a genuine moral problem with lying politicians, then don't support any of them. Otherwise, it'll make you look like a hypocrite to condemn one political party while you loyally support the other political party. And for the record, it's a really bad witness for a Christian to disparage an elderly person (or anyone else) for their mental or physical health. I seem to recall in the Bible something about loving your neighbor as yourself and loving your enemies, but maybe these biblical commandments don't apply to conservative politics. The latter seems to be the case these days with the Christian Right, especially when Trump is concerned.

Misinformation on the net is a really controversial topic.
The narrative is that a person should believe everything about the official narrative.
Skepticism is what makes us think critically.

If a scientist tells me : "I tell you that horses can fly, and you gotta believe me, because I am a zoologist, while you are not", I will tell him: "Sorry, sir. I can't believe such a thing".

Of course he has the right to say that horses can fly.

Not clandestine. Adding a comment from a clearly identifiable source.

Seems to me like she is saying there should be a "Reply Plus" feature for some users. So their reply would feature prominently under the tweet. It doesn't change the original tweet and people can choose which they find more persuasive.

If handled right might not be a bad idea actually. A limited number of people from across the political spectrum could provide balance to tweets posting under their own name.

They would, in turn, be accountable for their comments and could lose their status if they are abusing it.

Might actually be worth a limited trial. Might work, might be a disaster, but the status quo is hardly working well so it's worth trialing a number of ways to mitigate harm.

The right wing has seized on this as a hobby horse to go along with Biden's following the law by providing baby food to those in US custody when necessary.

More biased scare tactics from the right designed to stir up trouble.

That can happen when an elderly person is elected to the presidency or to another politician position. It happened with the former president who publicly claimed that the Continental Army 'took over the airports' during the American Revolutionary War.

The right? yes. From the "swift boat" crap, Obama's birth certificate crap. Hillary gate crap (when the right does much worse) and now Biden crap. 20 years and more of right wing crap.

Kerry was a traitor. Obama's birth certificate is irrelevant. Hillary was and still is corrupt. Biden took money from foreign governments through his son while he was VP. Facts are not on your side.

We should disparage a political choice who is not capable of doing the job.

Biden should never have been elected president regardless of his policy positions.

Yes we should love our enemies but I love America more than Biden. I don't despise elderly people.

But Biden should be called out. He's done a lot of harm already as president. And no it's not because he's senile. He's just a bad president.

Besides if he's senile the 25th amendment should be invoked for the good of America. It must be talked about even if unpleasant.

In any case my problem with these liars is not so much moral as it is that they're lying for a reason. Because they're bad and doing harm.

That could be a problem.

Reading comprehension problems can lead to leftism.

Incorrect.

Reading comprehension problems are on both sides of the political aisle, including a former president who claimed that he was really smart and a "very stable genius" (source) and that he had "one of the greatest memories of all time" (source). In fact, this former president once sent a letter to a retired English teacher about gun policy, which she corrects and sends back to him.

Retired English teacher corrects a letter from Trump and gives him failing grade

What sad excuses to justify such un-Christian behavior.

A cognitive test should be standard for this sensitive position. A senile running a country may prove disastrous. Even worse using a senile as a puppet president.

I'm not aware of any biblical commands about a Christian should their country more than they love their neighbor.

Maybe you can enlighten me.

I think people have a wrong idea of Christainity. Yes we value meekness and being peace makers etc. But when it comes to politics we must speak the truth even if it offends. Otherwise we let evil prevail which is on us.
