Ask Sgt. Pepper anything

Sgt. Pepper

All you need is love.
My siblings were into Beatles, I was overloaded with them second hand. Like smoke.
Not the way to become a fan.

I was into Black Sabbath & Uriah Heep and such; Blue Oyster Cult, Emerson Lake & Palmer, Jethro Tull...

Are you a fan of any of those??

No, I'm not. I'm mainly into Oldies, Classic Rock, and music from the 80s and 90s.

What really went on in Rishikesh, between Sexy Sadie (Mia Farrow) and the Maharishi?

'Sexy Sadie' was written by John during The Beatles' trip to India, and it was a "diss song" against the Maharishi. John was criticizing the Maharishis' alleged sexual advancement towards Mia Farrow. The song's original title was Maharishi, but John changed its title upon the request of George. It was released on the White Album in 1968.

And why wouldn't Prudence come out to play?

She didn't come out to play because she stayed in her tent mediating the majority of the time she and The Beatles were in India.

I had initially thought about writing this OP with a bunch of Beatles' songs references, but I decided that was too much work. So, I'm keeping this simple... You ask me a question, and I'll answer it. I've never done anything like this before, so let's see what happens.

Do you think that Ringo Starr can actually play the drums? :D

Do you think that Ringo Starr can actually play the drums? :D

Absolutely. In The Beatles Anthology, Macca talks about when he, George and John met Ringo, and how impressed they were with his drumming. They would go watch him play when he was still playing drums in Rory Storm and the Hurricanes. Ringo became the drummer two days after Pete Best was sacked by their manager, Brian Epstein, on August 16, 1962. John, Paul and George were put out with Pete because he kept missing some of their gigs, so they hired Ringo to fill in for him whenever he missed a performance.

Is Paul really dead?

Nope. Sir Paul McCartney is not dead. I'm happy to say that Macca is alive and well.

And who was the walrus, anyway?

Aha... that's an interesting question with even more interesting answers.

One answer is the song lyrics are tied to the whole "Paul is dead" conspiracy theory -----> See here.

Another answer is the song lyrics were written by John to baffle so-called Beatles' experts -----> See here.

What do you think of astral projection and lucid dreaming?:)

I think both are very interesting phenomena, and I know astral projection is real because I've experienced it myself. I've experienced lucid dreaming too. That being said, I'm not interested in a debate about either one or arguing whether they're biblical or not.

If you don't want a debate that is fine. And if you don't want to have a argument if it is biblical or not is fine too.:)
