I'm so sorry that happened. *hug* You are brave to admit your fear. I get that way around the holidays here, our mall gets so crowded it makes me want to cry.

This is a bit embaresing
But to be able to go to the mall where I live i first have to take a train for 4 minutes, and then do my shopping as Quick as I can, especially if there are many people there.

I woke up this morning and realized i had to go shopping . It does not sound scary to others to go shopping... i even used to love doing it too before. Now it is my personal hell
So early in the morning i went down to the train station, luckely i was alone there, trainride went ok :)
Then....my early morning plan to go shopping when nobody else was there went wrong  groups of young people in the grocary store  crap......i couldn't do it...i had to wait until they left then run in...do my shopping and get out.

What will i do the day i can't take the train due to my fear of people
That is bad, you know why you feel like that?

I wouldn't like it either, but for me, it would be more all the train riding back and forth etc. and I in general don't enjoy going shopping all that much :) Im more of a hit and run when I do, I know exactly what I need and I go get it and get the hell out of there again, going around looking at this and that I find boring, however some stores I like, such as DIY stores etc. but in general I don't enjoy it.

Alternatively, don't you have one of those delivery services? Where you buy online and they deliver.

I order everything online, Im not good at finding gifts to people and again I loose patience extremely quickly because im bored to death. And also all the people, COVID didn't help either, so doing it online makes it a lot easier for me at least.

The condition is called social anxiety disorder and it hinders me to be social. Some of the treatment will be to expose my self to what I fear :) so just order home delivery is not a smart idea right now.

Tough love, seek God with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength. You may already be doing this so do it more. To discover what and who you really are in the context of all that is, first of all, all misunderstandings must be melted down. And remember, depression, fear, and whatever, always passes, so be strong beyond everything else. It's like being born again but takes much longer than 9 months!

Just wondering, know nothing about the condition, but does it help if you listen to music at the same time, like some no stress or whatever, so you "mute" some of the senses?

Yes muting sound from people talking or trafic will help coping with the situation:) certain noid3s is a trigger for me.

Often helps me to repeat these words, of FD Roosevelt; “there is nothing to fear but fear itself”.

Fear is a mirage. We can pass through it, and the more often we do, the less real the mirage appears.

I do agree with you:) i see the problem with fear, I just don't have the tools to fix it within my mind yet.
I am aware often the fear is irrational and not real, but even knowing this, it is still fear
