I get high on speed.

I have never done any illegal drug nor have I smoked pot.

I always got high on speed, still do. In my younger days I had a 68 galaxy 500 with a built 390, then went to a 76 short bed ford pickup with a built 460, then went to a 80 mustang with a built 351W.

After those I just started being a spectator. Still go and watch them when I can.

To me there is no rush like it.

A friend of mine out of Arkansas let me drive his 37 fiat last summer in Tulsa.
I ran 6.97 at 205mph. I was actually a little scared of it.

He runs in the 5's at 240-250.

Definitely. There's something about becoming one with the car and feeling through it, working as one unit zipping and winding down the road.

I'm so old I went to the first drag race in the UK, at Santa Pod raceway (in 1966 apparently), and where a few American dragsters came across to entertain us all. No doubt still have some photos but tucked away somewhere. I was into car modding - being an engineer - but pretty low-level stuff and with very crap cars.

Going 55 in an MG-TD feels really fast.
Carving high speed GS turns (maybe going 35 or 40), feels really fast.
