Been ages since I've done this.

Ask away!
How do you feel about traveling to USA. Would you feel safe or unsafe?

Do you think that time is a continuum? Do you think each moment is destroyed as it is replaced with another?

Do you feel like trousers and slacks are a terrible clothing design? I do. They never stay up properly.

Do you like fancy mustaches, like waxed mustaches?

Why do you think the self-leveling suspension system of the (Citroën) DS has not been adopted universally?

Where would you like to go? Near or far?

Any developed country with a decent amount of religious freedom and quality of life should be fine, but I also come from Egypt's hyper-extroverted culture and the very sunny climate of the Middle East. While a few countries in Scandinavia would easily meet the former goal, the lack of the latter could make them undesirable to me as places to live in for the long term.

Australia would be ideal, but that may be kind of a long shot for at least a few years. I doubt there will be so many readily available options to choose from anyway, so I'm taking things one step at a time. For now, the main goal is to get to a developed country. I could try to relocate later on.

Have you done the tourist route in Egypt, like go on a cruise down the Nile, if that even exists.

Yes, I have: I went on a Nile cruise between Luxor and Aswan a few years ago. Between the ancient sites and the natural scenery around the Nile, it was an absolutely breathtaking experience.

I would love to visit, and I don't think I'd feel unsafe unless I went somewhere notorious for being unsafe there.

I wouldn't want to live there unless I had no other place to immigrate to, though. Vocal and relatively widespread conservatism, in addition to subpar health insurance, would be my main concerns. I could see some ways in which I might end up changing my mind, but for the time being, it's far from my top immigration destination (and it would be quite hard for me to get there anytime soon either way).

Do you think that time is a continuum? Do you think each moment is destroyed as it is replaced with another?

Since some interpretations of the theory of relativity allow for time travel, yes, I think time is a continuum. I also don't think the past is "destroyed" in the traditional sense: this depends on how we define "destroyed" as well as our point of view.

A thought experiment I find both fascinating and eye-opening is the idea that if we lived on some planet that was 65 million light years away from Earth and looked at Earth through a telescope, we would be able to see dinosaurs because the light reaching the hypothetical planet would be from that era. So I do think the observer's vantage point is a major factor in answering this question.

Do you feel like trousers and slacks are a terrible clothing design? I do. They never stay up properly.

Not terrible, but just not for me. I prefer my jeans low-rise and decently tight-fitting around the waist. :D

Do you like fancy mustaches, like waxed mustaches?

Nope. I often make sure to shave mine, too; I just don't like mustaches in general.

Why?

Why are you so involved in RF?

During my first few years on the forum, I was extremely isolated socially and had only one offline friend. RF became not just an outlet for me to express my thoughts when I couldn't otherwise but also a venue for me to talk to friendly and interesting people and befriend them.

This forum has played a significant part both in my personal development and in improving my language skills over the years, so I enjoy helping to maintain it in my staff capacity as well as interacting with this community. This is my 10th year as a staff member, and I'm not even close to losing interest in the forum. You're stuck with me for a while yet. :p
