According to the Genesis Creation account, the Sun was created on Day 4, and plants were created beforehand on Day 3. I'm curious to know, What heated the Earth for plants to survive between Genesis Creation Day 3 and Day 4?

I don't know what would have kept them alive between days three and four, but today they are all kept equal by hatchet, ax and saw.

Plants require sunlight to live, not heat
Are you sure plants require sunlight, or could they live with an artificial source of light in place of sunlight?

No, this is not a pic of Suave's basement!

You seem to be mixing sentence placement with the days involved. The "let there be light" was the first statement of creation. Plus, in the deep ocean, near hot vents, light is not required for life. Much like the life of Sodom and Gomorrah would have had to revert too, after sulfur fell from the sky. They are a sulfur-based life form.

Sunlight is the perfect balance of wavelengths necessary for plant growth.
In order to grow, plants need:
  • Blue wavelength light for foliage growth.
  • Red wavelength light for flowering and fruiting.
  • Plants have little use for green wavelengths and reflect them back, which is why leaves appear green.
Any light that supplies these light bands will work.
However, heat as mentioned in the OP is not required.

Plants also need water, which needs heat. Water without heat would be ice instead the required water plants need. Right?

You seem to be misinterpreting the original idea of Light, which was translated from Hebrew (yehi) and does not mean physical light, but rather the phrase 'let there be light' means 'let creation begin'.

The sun was created on the 4th day, so either god doesn't understand how plants grow and survive, or the men who wrote the bible didn't.

No Light, No Plant. Heat . . . eh, not so much.

So god created enough heat, before creating the sun, in order for plants to exist.
Where is that reply in the OP Survey?

Light of God came first. Genesis 1:3.

All creation was made in the light of God for the 7 days. The 7th day is yet to come when God says all things are good. Not everything is good ... yet. But it will be and so all things will rest in the light of God.

Each of the 7 days are periods of the shining of the light of God. This is how God makes all things within each "day". But these are days of God: days unto God rather than solar days.

The English translation isn't the best representation of the spirit of the text. The Hebrew word in the cross-hairs of the conundrum, translated "bring forth" (as in bring forth "grass"), i.e., דשא ----has a tav prefix (תדשא). The tav prefix implies a future-tense so the text would better read that the earth was being prepared to bring forth plants.

This correction doesn't immediately lend itself to answering the question of why the earth is being prepared to bring forth living organisms (plants) before the light of the sun and the moon --- required to empower the plant life ---are themselves activated?

The Hebrew text is implying that the fundamental ingredients of life were already in the earth from the start. Hidden, as it were, and was, beneath the veil of the temple of the earth. The text is implying that like the virgin Mary, the earth was prepared to conceive sons the moment it came into being. ------As Mary was born already pregnant with Christ, the earth-mother was already pregnant with life, even though it (the earth) would need to come of age, ala Mary, before giving birth.

Life wasn't an afterthought in the creation of the earth. Earth is the mother of life and she was born, created, conceived, already ready for the conception of life. Life was in her womb before earth's hymen was ever opened to place seeds there. As Christ was in Mary's womb, from the very beginning (nestled behind the intact veil), the earth, too, earth was created already pregnant. That pregnancy existed before the serpent ever tilled the soil, opened the hymenal veil, of the earth.

Life, like Christ, existed prior to the raising of Cain associated with scientific-materialism and the phallic-sex that's the central branch out of which its very own genesis myth comes.

Are you not aware that the Genesis creation account is regarded as allegorical by most Christian churches?

It seems you know not the actual first number system created in Heaven.
IV proceeded III......Simple explanation.....:D
Then you're saying everything in heaven is backward (doesn't surprise me)? Because last I checked 3 precedes 4 . . . 1 2 3 4
  • the first day - light was created
  • the second day - the sky was created
  • the third day - dry land, seas, plants and trees were created
  • the fourth day - the Sun, Moon and stars were created

Upon a more complete computation (an advancement in AI) counting on your figures proved to win concession. My post has been deleted after I did offer my apology.......and a Happy New Year

Русским мужчинам повезло, потому что их согревают теплом красивые русские женщины суровой зимой.
