What are your thoughts about Generation Z?
I am very interested in hearing from other Gens and patents of a Gen Zer.

- Gen X rules!

As a substitute teacher, I notice that so many Generation Z kids love mathematics and science. So, if you ask me, I think they're a bunch of little brainiacs. :tongueout:

As an early Gen Z member (1996-2000 = early Gen Z I've been told) I think our segment is awesome. I think those younger than me are intolerable. We (early Gen Z), separated 5 or 10 years apart, are not the same as them.

I guess some of them are fine.

I remember when I thought my 28 year old brother in law was old, but that was maybe 50 years ago.

Now that we've reached the last letter of the alphabet, does this mean the end of mankind? No more generations allowed?

I wish the younger generation the best, and feel kind of sorry for how difficult things got, starting with my generation, the millenials, but then extending to younger folks, in what looks like greater difficulty. I see this firsthand, I think, being an eldest sibling. I mean I don't understand a lot of their tastes, as would be expected, but I think I can see the situation they face, somewhat

The only thing that works for me, is to try to be as tough as I can, though also to respect the limits with how far I'm going to get in life.

The generation letters are annoying. I'm generation X by one year so they say on some sites and Y on others. I stopped listening at generation Y. I don't like the term millennials as it's used in a discriminatory way: oh Those millennials, they always playing that load music.

Poor work ethic and a strong sense of entitlement.

What to your mind, inspires a great work ethic? Or would you say that all of the inspiration for working ought to come from the individual, along with the physical act of working itself? I didn't start out as the best worker, but I did slowly learn.. Now I guarantee I can outwork the kinds of people who previously fired me, and I view them as being faithless towards me, basically. I still have flaws, but I have been at the receiving end of what I think is unproductive criticism, from my retrospective standpoint now

Showing up is always a bonus.

That said, I find promptness, ambition, appearance, and pride lacking in this generation as well.

In my experience, these folks like to squeak by doing the bare minimum required to keep the job rather than showing initiative to move upward in the hierarchy (though they seem to think they're somehow entitled to raises and promotions while not doing what it actually takes to get them).
