Televangelist Marcus Lamb Who Called Vaccine Mandate 'Sin' Against God Dies Of COVID

Well, FREEDOM!, I guess. He was high risk; he should have got vaccinated.

"Daystar Television confirmed Lamb's death on Tuesday, although the network's announcement didn't mention a cause of death. However, Marcus' wife, Joni Lamb, confirmed her husband died from COVID-19, saying that he had been hospitalized after his oxygen dropped and alternative treatments proved ineffective.

Lamb, according to Joni Lamb, was diabetic, which made him a high risk for becoming seriously ill from COVID-19 and the 64-year-old was just on the cusp of being considered high risk because of his age."

I don’t even know who this person is, but I hope this thread isn’t about gloating over his death because he opposed being vaccinated. Since he was a high risk diabetic he could have also died from a breakthrough case of Covid even if he was vaccinated.

This.

All such preventable deaths are unfortunate. Vaccination would have reduced his odds of dying from COVID, but the fact is that he's sadly dead now and can't get vaccinated. I think it's best to focus on spreading awareness to prevent similar occurrences in the future.

Plus this scenario is not uniform with everyone. Most will survive Covid which is a fact intentionally overlooked to make things sound more dangerous than it actually is.

I hope this is not sarcasm, because considering what happened, it would be pretty inappropriate if it were, in my opinion.
No. There are actually Christians out there who will say that sort of thing.

I was being tongue in cheek with that.

So, what fatality rate is acceptable to you? When is the last time 780,000 Americans died in an epidemic?

As acceptable a rate as 3,613,732 overall American deaths since the automobile emerged.

As acceptable as 659, 000 deaths annually give or take each year by heart disease.

As acceptable a rate as 606,520 deaths from cancer annually.

How many died of other causes but tested positive and listed as dying of or from covid? Not to mention that if proper testing isn’t done, how many times were assumptions made? I’d like to know this.

So, there’s doubt is what I read...
How are COVID-19 deaths counted? It’s complicated

Excess Deaths Associated with COVID-19 (yes, CDC).

But higher numbers make for better news. Has anyone dug into this, or just accepted the numbers without questioning?

Leave it to anti-vaxxers to peddle year and a half old information. The CDC guidance on how to record deaths was issued in April 2020 when there PCR tests were not widely available.

Your first link, published in Feb 2021, references the CDC document issued in April 2020.

Covid is rarely the IMMEDIATE cause of death but is typically the underlying cause. Immediate cause can be pneumonia or cardiac arrest, but Covid can be the cause of both. But you know that, right?

From your second link. Notice the predicted number of deaths EXCLUDING Covid are a small fraction of excess deaths in 2020 and 2021. Those INCLUDING Covid make up nearly all excess deaths in that period.

1. Get your facts straight before making accusations. I’m not an anti-vaxxer. I’ve never discouraged anyone, nor will I, from getting jabbed. It’s a personal choice. It’s the insistence and suggestions of sociopathy and lack of empathy that I’m against. The tone of these threads and posts from the “pro-vaxxers” is just that.

2. Prove that year and a half old information is wrong. Give me a link where the CDC reverses that. I’ll wait.

3. What you (group who badger and guilt people for choosing not to get jabbed) disagree with, even from the Holy CDC, declare invalid and twist. Because it doesn’t fit your paradigm. Seriously? o_O

4. Give me documentation that the CDC reversed itself. I know I said that but it bears repeating.

I never said anything about absolute or relative numbers, I’m talking about the casting of doubt on the information being provided by the “medical experts”. Read what’s there, not what you want to see to support your contentions. Don’t deflect.

From April 2021:

Summary
What is already known about this topic?

During 2020, approximately 375,000 U.S. deaths were attributed to COVID-19.

What is added by this report?

Among 378,048 death certificates from 2020 listing COVID-19, 5.5% listed COVID-19 without codes for any other conditions. Among 357,133 death certificates with at least one other condition, 97% had a co-occurring diagnosis of a plausible chain-of-event condition (e.g., pneumonia or respiratory failure), or a significant contributing condition (e.g., hypertension or diabetes), or both.

What are the implications for public health practice?

These findings support the accuracy of COVID-19 mortality surveillance in the United States using official death certificates. High-quality documentation of death certificate diagnoses is essential for an authoritative public record.

Of course the numbers went up. It’s not unexpected. I never said they didn’t or won’t. There’s nothing from the CDC reversing their recommendations on how to report deaths, which is what I asked for.

That’s like using the Bible to prove it’s own accuracy. Of course there are no other codes if medical examiners and coroners are following the CDC’s initial guideline.

So, are you saying that doctors and MEs are falsely coding deaths?
