In the Beginning

I don't think so. Concerning creation, the beginning is contrasted with something without beginning or end. That's my take anyway.
so then could a beginning be understood as an endless forming, or formless something being in contrast to a formed something, and understood as in the beginning.

john 1:1

like a word in juxtoposition to silence?

can there be a beginning, if there is no contrast?
Yes, because the Bible's God existed ' before ' the beginning of anything else as per Psalms 90:2.
God is from everlasting to everlasting meaning No beginning and No ending.
Kind of like we can count numbers both forwards and backwards forever and ever without stopping.

Not sure, although I think a word opposed to silence gets at the idea. I think of time as opposed to eternity like that.

recently they posted that time flows both backwards and forwards in the quantum state.

In the quantum realm, not even time flows as you might expect: New study shows the boundary between time moving forward and backward may blur in quantum mechanics

I find the Bible's God is 'before ' the beginning (Psalms 90:2) then God was Not 'in' the beginning as Jesus was because God was ' before ' the beginning of everything.- Revelation 4:11
