Female demons

Pronouns: he/him/they/them
Anyone know of any in mythology or any books on them aside from Lilith? Also would love to see books both on demonolatry and standard mythology...im very curious. Most demons I hear about are often seen in male aspects tho some also have female aspects.

Will this do?

"A Valkyrie is a figure in Norse mythology depicted as a warrior woman on horseback, a wolf or boar, and armed with a spear, who decides the fate of warriors in battle and carries the dead to Odin's Valhalla. Valkyrie means "chooser of the slain", and those chosen will fight beside Odin at Ragnarök"

Also,

"A succubus is a demon or supernatural entity in folklore, in female form, that appears in dreams to seduce men, usually through sexual activity. According to religious traditions, repeated sexual activity with a succubus can cause poor physical or mental health, even death."

Valkyries have nothing to do with demons.

This one is not female specific, but Demon focused.

no such thing
Well. So you believe. Even if they don't exist couldn't someone just want to read about them? I mean I believe they exist and I will respect you not believing in them but was this comment really needed?

Both things I already knew altho Valkyrie as already stated is not a demon. But no matter Valkyrie are interesting nevertheless. Also where did you these quotes from? Source? I'm curious. Does it have any more info your sources so I can read farther

From a biblical perspective, I ‘d say demons are spirit beings, neither male, nor female.

There are female demons in the Dark Tower series.

Depends on what demon and what stories we are talking about and from what religion. Lilith a female demon for instance was used to explain SIDS and wet dreams. Lucifer who has both female and male aspects is often said that they tempt mankind away from God and is used to blame evil on.

Many do believe that but its not just bibical theology I want to learn about. Lilith for instance is not in the bible. But she is considered the first wife of Adam who became a demon. Most Christians don't believe in her. Another demon considered female would be Naamah who was described in the Zohar a Jewish text.

I appreciate you sharing your perspective. I think various stories can be interesting, but personally when it comes to spirituality, I prefer to seek truth.

That's understandable. I personally don't believe in different myths even if I believe in the beings in the myths. Still learning is quite fun. Especially about different theologies and religious beliefs.
