This really proves the difference. The US worries about having enough petroleum. The sensible Canadians want to make sure they have enough real maple syrup. And their money is more sensible than ours. Their loonies are coins whereas ours are in politics.

I've stocked up on maple syrup because of just
such a risk. Maple syrup is more essential than
gasoline. And it stores better. (Gasoline degrades
with time...something that zombie apocalypse
shows don't get.)

Maple syrup is the Mac of syrups. Corn Syrup can do the same thing. The menus are a little different is all.

I never did the pledge.
Either faked it or refused it.
So you might be in hot water if you were ever drafted. Also it could cause you political problems if you ran for public office. Maple syrup is really only the beginning of your problems. What about American cheese? Do you like American cheese?

I was never going to cooperate with the draft.
My lottery# was 34, so I was going to move to
Canuckistan....but then Nixon cancelled the draft.

I feel sorry for you, so I'm contributing a link to help you when spreading your vicious propaganda about our President Nixon.
Richard Nixon on Principles & Values

Best of luck with your maple syrup and all that.
