You can not find God as a physical being

Spirit of Light

Be who ever you want
With this i mean the God many seeking is not there to be found, the God I become familiar with arise from within the practitioner of a spiritual teaching.

So by seeking outward you will not find God, the quality of God is within you.
God is a state of consciousness. Only by realizing the God consciousness will you see God.

Only when you find God you will know yourself, only by knowing yourself will you know God.

Any thoughts?

We are not God.

Selflessly here for you
Only that I personally would word it a little differently.

I’d say that what is available to Man (in life) is divine perspective, not God Itself. Whether God is more than that perspective, is hard to say but the perspective is what Man is able to tap into, even while still embodied in worldliness.

And yes, Man reaches divine perspective by and in his consciousness, so one will find it within and not without.

Finally, I’d say that living in and by divine perspective is a “state of being” (conscious of our unity with all that is and of the overview there is from that perspective).

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
God always was a product of the mind and imagination.

So its no surprise people would refer to a non corporal description as there is no choice but to go that route.

I feel the term God is a loaded word as with consciousness and divinity even. The experience of being alive in a spiritual awakening and living that clarity most people who believe in God may experience. But the term itself is vague. We may "think" we agree with each other on a spiritual note but we're just using the same term to describe totally different experiences of different content that when expressed we don't agree at all.

Everyone's god is unique. I wonder what's your god (in layman's terms)?

In other words, what's your experience that's not dependant on spiritual jargon?

Indeed, "G-d is closer to us than our jugular vein"
He is aware of what is deep down in our souls.
Why wouldn't He be?
Our souls belong to G-d.

My current understanding of God is a conscious being of light. Thats the only layman term i can give.
Others will understand God different

Spiritual jargon is a hindrance in what you want to say and dependence on it limits your conversation to "spiritual" people who connect. It's a confirmation bias that in my opinion can limit seeing spirituality in all people regardless who they are. Spiritual trap of sorts or ego is how I personally would see it.

Maybe go to the next level up?

I find I understand and connect with people more when they can get dirty too. In a clean way.

I speak only out from my personal understanding, and I do not know how to speak about God, religion or spirituality without ude of spiritual jargon

That would mean a physical component can be examined if that were the case.

Perhaps.
Yet, say that x was a product of your imagination and that x had consciousness; would x consciousness not be limited being conscious of the imagination that x exists in…?

If so, x would be aware of itself and its surroundings (what you imagine) but not of you. And, in the event that x somehow did manage to become aware of you, x still would not have access to the physicality of you, because you are not in your imagination, which is the only place in which x exists.

“x” = Man, “you”= god
