People, is it immoral and sinful to break rules at RF knowing and willingly knowing it is a rule violation, then doing it anyway?

I don't intentionally break rules at RF , so the discussion is also, if it is sinful, is it the same sin if you aren't aware you are doing it?

Keep in mind, staff will keep track of your voting record on the poll. :p Choose the best answer that describes your thoughts on the issue. :)

I don't believe in sin. However breaking the rules is wrong if you do so purposely

Breaking RF rules is a sign of moral bankruptcy! :smilingimp:

Just a funny side note, I just submitted the post , and by the time I voted, someone already voted that their conscience is okay with breaking RF rules.:confused:

So, you do believe it is immoral because you believe it to be wrong. ;)

Right?
It goes against my own morals usually provided that I don't have a good reason to break the rules. Or if I do so by accident. So far no good reason to break any

I voted breaking RF rules as being mortally sinful, this being the case if one gets banned.

It depends upon the rule.
For example, it's prohibited to post an article or picture
without commentary. But I see no problem doing so in
the joke threads. Apparently staff is OK with this too.
What really matters?
The spirit & mission of RF.
Sometimes this is subverted while still remaining strictly
within the rules. That's bad...schade...plocha...zhen huai!

It depends on the rule and how or why or when you're breaking it. I've been more mindful of keeping the rules here recently, each forum and platform has it's own vibe and I wouldn't want to disturb it.

Let me eleborate. Giving staff a hard time unneeded is not my thing. But I line up with the rules morally at the moment. Most of them anyway. I do not see a reason to break any but if RF did make a rule that I disagreed with...id break it, leave the forum,and/or tell staff I disagree.

Mostly this. Never intentional. No reason to. I was never a "run around break every rule in the book nor get revenge" type of person. On and offline--as an adult. But when I was a kid, well....

I don't see it as sinful, but I don't believe in the concept of sin.

I mostly see breaking the rules as impolite.
