I found a lot of people haven’t read or understood the Bible for themselves and parrot the false interpretations of other people.

You mean all the people who have different interpretations to you?

I first read the bible as a young believer; it was (thankfully!) the beginning of the end of my faith when I realised what a contradictory mess it was and how all the teaching I'd been given was just based on cherry-picking, as any message people claim to get from it must inevitably be. It's no wonder there are so many contradictory cults, sects, and denominations that all claim to be following the bible. It's purely a question of which 'cherries' you choose to pick.

The first thing is to be born again
“But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.”

Well, when I paraphrase and use my own words I don’t post the exact Bible verse or verses. Does this mean I don’t know them? No, but you seem to need that, for example you may bring up spelling and grammar next:cool:

You seem to misunderstand. I'm not criticising that you paraphrased inaccurately, it was more that you went to part of the bible to justify the bible.

The Bible is verifiable because the Bible describes the world we live in, when a person is born again like I was my eyes were opened and I understood and can discern the Truth now. When looking at our world and what’s happening now God has predicted and recorded this all for us to see.

Your belief is fine but its belief, not verifiable evidence

I lived the first 27 years of my life partying it up and ended up in a rehab from all my great ideas. Then I cried out to God to deliver me and He did, so I’ve been walking with God for the last 30+ years, love the Lord and live out His Word and have received blessing upon blessing and not going back.

I said at the END one looks for God's help to find the purpose of life. Either you found the purpose of your life, or the END is still very far.

Quote mining is an extremely dishonest and pathetic tactic.

Here's what I actually said:

I don't look for any god's help any more then I look for the help of santa or extra-dimensional unicorns.

The word "then" follow by the rest completely changes the meaning as opposed to the part you selectively quoted, trying to make me say something I didn't say.

I never looked toward any gods for anything. I was never a believer.

Have you found the purpose of your life ? and tell me what it was :)

Also, you need to realize that your beliefs are YOUR beliefs and not mine. It's you who seems obsessed with this cosmic "purpose of life" or who assumes / believes there is such a thing.

I don't, nor do I require it.
I'm fully at peace with the idea that my life is just a bio-chemical fluke in the great scheme of things.
And yes, my life has purpose. And that purpose, is the purpose that I (and those around me) give to it.

People create their own purpose(s) in life.

I'm sorry that you are too stuck in juvenile teleological thinking to realize such.

I found the Bible to be true, reliable, accurate and applicable for today and everyday life application. Timeless Words of life and profitable for correction, instruction that the man or woman of God can be equipped for every good work.

Plenty of key points in the bible are demonstrably not true.

You can believe otherwise if you wish. But it will only result in you being incorrect.

So basically what you said here is that "the bible is verifiably true, because I believe it"

Good argument you got there.

So what?
That is completely irrelevant to the post you are responding to.

No that’s not even close to what I said… I live it, trust it and found God is faithful to His Word. For example:
“Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper. The ungodly are not so, But are like the chaff which the wind drives away. Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, Nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. For the Lord knows the way of the righteous, But the way of the ungodly shall perish.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭1:1-6‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

As opposed to everything came from nothing?

Yes, that would also be an oversimplification or over-reduction. The problem with all over-reductions you use in one form or another run into problems. Here is the kicker. The human ability to explain everything seems itself to be an idea, that doesn't work. So when you try to turn everything into less, you can't.

I can do more words, but for now it is late, so if needed see you tomorrow.
