This is the sort of thing I would expect from Christian groups. I've never received something like this promoting Islam before.

Discuss.

I've gotten a few brochures, but not very widespread, and only at Muslim events.

I've noticed Christian conversion brochures I've received tend to focus on the 'you're gonna burn in Hell' thing, and the Muslim brochures I've received focus on 'this is the logical way to believe'.

Interesting distinction. This ad had a more Jehovah's Witness vibe to it (but the graphics were too good, so I knew it probably wasn't them)..."Are you sad? Does your life lack meaning? Why is the world constantly at war? The Bible has answers!"

I've seen something like that before in regards to Islam. No different then the door to door JW, or LDS folk imo.

Maybe Pagans should start proselytizing too, that'll show 'em. :p

I think you should.

A young teacher my oldest son had about burst at the seams when he learned there are people living who worship Greek deities.

I bet that was amusing to see, lol. The area around me is very Christian, maybe I could rent a billboard. What should I put on it?

Something fun.

The other literature I see is always doom and gloom. Make a happy billboard!

I think that with more Muslims in the US, people will see more Islamic literature, masjids, etc.

Makes sense considering that Christianity is focused on the Second Coming whereas Islam, like Judaism, is a civilization.

Maybe Pagans should start proselytizing too, that'll show 'em. :p

Him: 'Khairete! I'm Brother Evzen from the Hellenic Center of [your city here]. I'm here to tell you about Dionysos.'

You: 'Evzen? Hellenic Center? That's funny, you don't look Greek...'

Him: 'I'm a convert. Hellenism is the fastest growing religion in this particular county.'

You: 'That's nice and all, and I'm happy with my Druidic path.'

Him: 'Druidic? Don't you know that you follow the religion of barbarians? The Hellenic way is the civilized way.'

A young teacher my oldest son had about burst at the seams when he learned there are people living who worship Greek deities.

It's an incredible world out there.

Well if you check the website the same threats are still made, for example at the blog for the website listed in the OP it says;

'As Allah says in the Qur’an, “Why should God make you suffer torment if you are thankful and believe in Him? God always rewards gratitude and He knows everything.” (Quran 4:147)'

In my opinion.

We (as do many others) have a small label on our post box "PAS DE PUB", meaning no publicity. It is illegal here under R634-2 of the penal code and L541-15-15 of the environment code to post unaddressed mail in to a so marked past box.

Religious advertising is classed as publicity.

The only exception is political fliers during an election campaign.

Some people have no problem with publicity, and its true there can be many offers of discounts on stuff we don't want so I don't believe we are missing anything.

The Quran tells us that if you don't submit to Islam, you will burn in hell (in fact, the descriptions of the horrendous tortures are very explicit) - so at least the Christians are being honest.
