European Christian Heritage

The humans can take care of themselves.

The buildings can't.

And are you ecstatic about the skyrocketing amount of mosques in France? Do you think this is 'progress'?

Oh no, not that one. Here is my solution. Give me absolute power and I will kill all the wrong people. And don't complain if that includes you. God will sort that out. ;)

I never called you a Christian. I said our heritage is Christian and we should protect it.
I'm sure many Churches would welcome your donations with open arms, if you were to solicit any for your cause.

Why not contribute in this way, instead of crying over mosques in places you didn't care about in the first place?

Why not put your money where your mouth is, instead of clutching pearls over mosques in places you don't care about in the first place?
I'd have no issue donating.

I just want to know why the rest of the Europeans fail to care.

Have you ever wondered why nobody has maintained the many, many pagan temples of the Roman Empire for the past two millenia?
Sigh.

If you are here to rag on this thread and not care about Europe, I just won't bother responding.

I think it is processive that we allow different understandings of religion.
At the expense of our own culture and heritage? That we close down our own religious buildings?

It's like Europe has given up on itself and no-one cares.

If you care about Europa. you care about the people in Europe, but apparently you don't. Because you want to tell us what to do based on your belief system. Don't you care about democracy and the will of the people?

Where have I mentioned democracy and the will of the people?

All I've been arguing is that we should maintain our religious buildings and not let them be set on fire!

We don't live in the same Europa. I live in the Europa of human rights, secular, democratic and so on. That is also an European heritage.
Dude, I haven't mention any of these things.

Just restore the churches and stop them being burned.

That is literally it.

This is silly logic no? Because following this line of thought we shouldn’t discuss any type of issue unless we ourselves single handedly dedicate every resource and hour of our lives to fixing it.

Where do you get the idea that I don't want this to be discussed? I am discussing this issue, right now, in this very thread.

But I find it slightly bizarre how somebody's first reaction to the issue is ordering other people around to fix it the way they (and not the people presumably affected by the issue) wish it to be fixed, all while harangueing the people actually affected and telling them how much they should care (while doing nothing themselves and openly admitting of not giving a flip about the actual people involved).
