Did Jesus make the fish?
Jesus also multiplied loaves and fishes allegedly. Now the multiplication of fish is quite remarkable, that he made fish out of nothing, or rather , made new nutritious fish out of dead fish.St. John says of the Lord Jesus "all things were made through Him, and without Him was not any thing made that was made," so I'd say yes. Those are some very cool pictures of fish.

He also filled the Apostle's nets with fish
According to the Gospel of Luke,[1] on the day of this miracle, Jesus was preaching near the Lake of Genesareth (Sea of Galilee), when he saw two boats at the water's edge. Boarding the one belonging to Simon (Peter), and moving out a little from shore, he sat and taught the people from the boat. Afterwards, he said to Peter:
Put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch.[1]
Peter answered:
Master, we've worked hard all night and haven't caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets.[1]
When they had done so, "they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to break,"[1] requiring help from another boat. When Peter saw the large catch, which filled both boats almost to sinking point, he fell at Jesus' knees and said, "Go away from me, Lord; I am a sinful man!"[1] Jesus responded "Don't be afraid; from now on you will catch men,"[1] after which Peter and his partners James and John left everything and followed Jesus.

Those fish may not have existed 20 minutes before the catch. It sounds to me like Jesus made living fish out of nothing, or he commanded the fish to go to the nets , right??
I have smelled fish before when there were no fish nearby.
Biting onto something yummy and getting a hook in your mouth must be frightening and trying to swim away and getting reeled in must be painful.
Then wind up in someone's hands must suck!
For the poll question, just choose what you most lean towards.
You can tell when a fish is scared.Kurt Cobain wrote in a song “it’s ok to eat fish because they don’t have any feelings”,maybe a hook is better than a spear, our love of food doesn’t stretch to what we eat I guess.
In the UK freshwater sport fishing is catch and release, you catch it and let it go apart from trout and salmon, the money anglers pay to do this goes into maintaining our waterways and migration of trout salmon and eels so it’s a trade off of sorts.
Humans are a creature with greater compassion that knows animal cruelty , and institutes animal cruelty laws.Is it mean for one fish to gulp down another fish while its still alive? Is it mean for a fish to gulp down a bug off the water top while its still alive?

They have feelings.
They are not robots.
And as @ChristineM taught me recently, they were the first creature to have a Vulva, in a lake in Scotland.

It's mean when you intentionally terrify, mutilate, and slowly painfully kill another creature, as is done when fishing with a hook as sport.
I know, I'm just giving you a bad time.No meaner than a cheetah taking down an antelope. We are predators and just like many species we hunt for food. We just have better ways of doing it.
