Atheist vs Christian(or vice versa)

We Never Know

An atheist and a christian were arguing about a god existing or not.

The atheist asks the christian "Do you have evidence a god does exist?" The christian replied no.

The christian asks the atheist "Do you have evidence a god doesn't exist?" The atheist replied no.

They looked at each other and agreed its a pointless argument.
They then went to have a drink, became friends and both lived happily ever after.

The end.

The christian asks the atheist "Do you have evidence a god doesn't exist?" The atheist replied "That's besides the point, but you should stop telling your kids that they go to hell, its not healthy for them!!".... :D

I would ask both to produce their "lots of evidence"

I've no problem being friends with Christians so long as they don't make it a problem. If their faith requires them to be a dick to my LGBT friends or distance from non-believers then that's on them.

The vast majority of Christians don't make it a problem. And those that do generally make themselves known long before we ever approach friendship.

An atheist and a Christian were arguing about a god existing or not in front of an agnostic.

Both accuse the agnostic of being wishy-washy. Pleased that they both found something to agree on, they went off arm-in-arm arguing whether or not to have a beer together or have a bottle of wine together.

It is possible that they were talking at cross-purposes.

What does evidence of the non-existence of something supposed to look like?

This is one of the main reasons I advocate for the position that a person's religion simply does not matter. Each person is a thing unto themselves regardless their religion. Religion has the same, exact utility as the idea of judging people by their "aura" or what brand of shoes they wear. It is a useless concept - just a piece of fluff strapped on by a person to try and make themselves look a little more sophisticated.

Far better, in my estimation, not to throw your lot in with any of it... lest you find yourself attempting to justify something that is in contention with millions to billions of people around you who have no more or less justification for their own trappings of this sort. It is folly for that reason alone.
