God And Race: Thought Experiment

Here is a thought experiment:

Imagine you are God...

You want to appear to humankind in the form of a human being

You want to present yourself to them so they can see you

But it is not possible for a human being to be racially neutral

As all humans can be described as being representative of a race (or races?)

Therefore you have to choose a race to appear as

What race do you choose?

And why?

Also, would it be a primary concern?

For me, if I were God I would appear as a black man

Because he has been portrayed as white for long enough

It would redress the balance

And all the racists would be horrified :D

And yes, for me it would be a primary concern

Could be blue skinned like Amun.

Could be green skinned like Osir.

Still human in form but not in phenotype :)

Races do not objectively exist (unless you are talking about the human race.) Science has basically disproven the concept of race. They are nothing but a societal construct.

I know race is a societal construct

But my point is that if God were to manifest himself into human form he would have to look a certain way, which people would undoubtedly think of in terms of race

My point is, he could not be what humans would consider radically neutral as, according to the constructs of society, all humans may be classified according to race

You and I both know that race is meaningless

But I don't think the great majority of humans do

And I believe God would be sensitive to this and that this would be a problem for him

Jesus was a Semitic man Who likely had olive skin, dark hair and eyes. It's hard to get much more "neutral" than that. Tens or hundreds of millions of Latinos, Southern Europeans, Middle Eastern people, mixed people, etc. look like that. Anyway, it really doesn't matter as God's nation is a spiritual nation.
