Trump threw a party and no one came

Trump threw a party and no one came. Well, almost no one. I guess that the millions of Trump Sheeples didn't feel it was worth a trip to DC to support the patriots who invaded the Capitol on Jan 6.

Conspiracies Fly At Far-Right Rally Near Heavily Guarded Capitol
BOWMAN: Well, you know, they expected some 700 people. And I would say no more than 50 or so showed up, you know. They carried American flags and signs saying, Justice for January 6. They wore red, white and blue shirts. And it was almost completely peaceful. We saw only one argument between the competing groups of protesters and counterprotesters. The police weighed in, pulled one of the guys away to cool off, no arrests. And there were actually maybe even more journalists than protesters.

I would think that only the very hardcore supported the January 6 insurrectionists. Every other Trump follower was likely appalled by it. Right?
So I didn’t think there’d be that many to attend this event. Either that or many wisely chose to avoid association because they knew it would be a very bad look

The downside of this is optics. DC Police look like they were swatting flies with a sledgehammer. Makes them and Dems look hysterical.

Not sure there was any firm intel suggesting anything like Jan 6. Just 'an (over)abundance of caution' IMO.
Then here’s to the Capital police, and their abundant caution. Long may it last!

CBS Sunday Morning did an informal Q&A of visitors to Mount Airey, home of Mayberry star Andy Griffin. The town is set up to attract fans of the show and the good old days.

It was a small sample, but overwhelming believing Trump won the election. One woman stated she didn't watch any MSM, but gets her news from other sources which she wouldn't identify.

The fruitcakes are still alive and strong.

What an interesting situation. Do we know who the 50 are? We should write it down for future reference as History progresses.

Apparently there was a lot of suggestions, even by Trump himself, that it was a set-up and warning people not to go.
