All in caps because I hate this question. I have a job interview today and I'm sure it will come up. Right now my honest answer would be...

I'm very depressed, I've spent the previous few years being actively suicidal. I have no social life because I live in a tiny village that neighbours a run-down town. I didn't go to university so I have no stories from there, thank goodness. I'm hyper-religious and I have basically stayed indoors the last two years because, well, the government told me to. I'm super tired as usual because I have crippling insomnia and I have literally no idea how I'm ever actually meant to be up on time even if you did give me this job, but please give me this job because otherwise I might try to jump off a bridge again.

How about you???

It may be too early in the morning to describe myself. But I do have a small tip. If the job interviewer asks "Do you have any questions for me?", it scores more points it seems to think one up and ask one, even if you understand perfectly and don't have any questions. That's not only what I've read, but it seemed to work for me, too. I found they sometimes seem disappointed when you say "I have no questions."

The only thing I can offer of any value
is that I have no advice to offer.

By the time you read this this the interview will be over.

I hope you get the job because it's a good thing to have work to do, especially for someone in your mental position.

Where to start, where to start.

I’m a blue-collar worker, a college dropout, part-time poet, a philosopher with his head stuck in the clouds, a soul trapped between heaven and the earth. I’m your hallunicating bookworm, your wonky yet hopeful romantic, your polyglot, and the fire that can spark souls.

It's not really the interview that's bothering me. It's that I clearly haven't slept and am not really en bonne forme.

Well, I have a job interview, too, today. What an amazing coincidence.

But I am very confident I will not ask the girl to tell a little bit about herself. That is probably the most stupid thing to ask at an interview. Stupid for the very reason that it is expected. Comparable with "tell me about your strengths and weaknesses".

Ciao

Working with children who need more help, basically. It appears to be a more open setting than a classroom.

Ahhhhh… merveilleux, Rival! You’ll be doing a very kind thing! Je te souhaite bonne chance.

Well, unless you’re applying for a job as a kamakazi pilot you should probably talk about some of your other qualities.

Truth be told, it's all about keeping things positive.

You can put a positive spin on what you wrote:

I'm excellent at overcoming challenges. I'm introspective and excel in self-education in many facets in life, and am very good at following direction. Even when confronted with obstacles, I'm excellent at staying on task and seeing things through.

It would also be worth mentioning that you're a highly respected volunteer staff member at popular internet community. I'd give you a great reference every day of the week and twice on Sunday.
