1 john 4:20 pretty much says you can't hate your brother and claim to love god.

is that because your sibling is god, even if the sibling isn't aware of it?

Yes, but I prefer the term "Brahman" over "god." People tend to make assumptions when I use the latter.

I thought it was more because God is love and if you don't have your roots in love, you don't know or understand God in that you hate your brother who was made by God.

one's spirit is god's. it came from god, it returns to god who gave it. the form, the flesh counts for nothing. it is illusory.

we worship in spirit and god is spirit. we worship the god in us and not in some other but we do recognize the light of christ in other as self.

you are the light of the world. a city set on a hill cannot. god is light 1 john 1:15

There are 2 commandments that was spoken by Jesus (paraphrased) 1) love God 2) love your brother. Break one commandment, you break the other. They are a set.

and they are summed up in one because they both are alike. Love all.

No it is because we cannot see God but we can see our brother. God is something/someone far off whom we have never met face to face but our brother is close and more real to us. How can we say we love the spaghetti monster more than we love our neighbour?
Also God has told us to love our neighbour as the second most important commandment Loving God is the first commandment. All the law of God is built on these 2 commands. To love God means that we are to do as He says.
It is not those who say Lord Lord who are saved and who love God, but those who do His will.
We cannot please God if we have not faith,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,but faith words through love. Show me your faith without works of love.

That is your belief and you should mention it as that. I neither believe in existence of God, nor in any spirit or Jesus, whatever your books may be saying. Same for Brian 2.
As for loving the brother, it will depend on what kind of brother is he. Mughal Emperor Auangzeb killed all three of his brothers.

the reason you have and never will see god is you have divided, separated yourself from god. you, not god. god is omnipresent. god fills all heaven and earth but you have assigned god a place

jacob saw god face to face and was changed.

one cannot exist apart from love. it is a basic need. no belief necessary. the science has proven it. you can't exist apart from the universe either. you can't exist apart from the Absolute; otherwise it isn't absolute or All

I was thinking Mark 12:28-29 One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked him, “Of all the commandments, which is the most important?” “The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.”

But John 13:34 works also. Thanks.

yes and you don't understand that the 1st is speaking of self and the second of other as self. god is found in both

The sibling is not God per se. He/she holds the Spirit of God. Jesus is not God, He holds the Spirit of God and is Firstborn. Only through Jesus will we realize the Promise of God as He is only Way. John 14:6,
If you are paraphrasing this, I heartily agree. However, if you are saying man is somehow a god in a new age sense, that is most disagreeable.

God fills all heaven and earth but His presence is manifested in certain places when He wants it to be.

2 corinthians 3:18

even as the spirit of the Lord

2Cor 3:17Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. 18And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into His image with intensifying glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

This is speaking to Christians and what happens to them through the Spirit in them.
Jacob struggled with God and was changed, that is what happens in the life of a Christian.

self is god as jesus said. the image manifested. god doesn't begin to be nor ceases to be. god is always being. the beloved is the existing one.

jacob wasn't christian; even if you are. this is the change in the twinkling of an eye. and every eye shall see him. to see is to understand.

god is not something in another place. the kingdom of god comes from within

be silent/still and know god, i will be exalted among the other as self, i will be glorified in the body of self.

this is your come to Jesus moment, the 2nd coming. behold I AM with you always, even unto the end of the age.
