When a Egg Cell is Fertilized, the Sperm Cell creates a sudden glow of Light.

Credit to Anton Petrov for this video!

Abstract:
Hello and welcome! My name is Anton and in this video, we will talk about the incredible event that happens when an egg is fertilized.

Follow the other Anton Petrov posted links as well.

My comment:
The good Anton Petrov forgets to go deeper into the phenomenon which creates the very electromagnetic charge and motions in the fertilized egg cell.

When looking at the principles of fertilization, we have an attractive female bio-electromagnetic monopole cell which is charged by a male bipolar bio-electromagnetic expanding cell which initiates the growth and divisions of the fertilized egg cell to become a new life.

This electromagnetic principle takes place all over in micro- and macrocosm. Cosmic clouds can be compared to the egg cell and when this is set in motion by an electromagnetic charge, it initially assembles the gas and dust in a center, and when this assembled and formed mass gains a critical weight, it is centrifugally expelled from the center of growth.

And just like a female have a certain amount of egg cells from birth, the cosmic formation in galaxies also can produce lots of stars and planets.

The electromagnetic formation is certainly an universal principle.

Yeah this BS seems to be all over the internet. There is no glow of light or literal spark.

What happens is there is a sudden release of Zn ions from the newly fertilised egg.

If you artificially introduce - in the lab, for research purposes - a molecule that fluoresces when it encounters Zn ions, then you can see a flash of light down the microscope, that's all. It's just a tool enabling the researcher to see the sudden release of the ions.

More here: Zinc ‘sparks’ fly from egg within minutes of fertilization

So here we have a BS "explanation" for something that, er, doesn't happen! Brilliant.

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.

Anton is pretty reliable and accurate on most if not all of videos.

It would be surprising if he's spouting BS. Unless it's in general reference to any embellished videos made on it.

Still you made an interesting clarification here.

So you even don´t believe in measurable laboratory experiments?

For those who don´t have open minds with poetic and philosophical senses, life itself is BS.

Some of us do. Some of us actually take the time to get past the woo and into the actual science. The following is just further clarification of what @exchemist said.

Scientists Just Captured The Flash of Light That Sparks When a Sperm Meets an Egg
For the experiment, the team used a sperm enzyme to activate the egg (fertilising the egg with actual sperm for research purposes is illegal under US federal law) and watched as the event triggered calcium levels to rise inside the egg, which prompted the release of zinc.

"As the zinc shoots out, it binds to small molecules which emit a fluorescence which can be picked up by camera microscopes,"
If you had actually watched and understood the video, you would have known about the zinc.

Somehow you took that simple process and made it conform to your woo...

Yup. The "small molecules", though, are fluorescent dye they introduced in order to get the light flashes: FluoZin-3 or something like it. I quote from the supplier's literature:

The FluoZin™-3 indicator is a Zn2+-selective indicator with a structure that resembles fluo-4. FluoZin™-3 exhibits high Zn2+-binding affinity that is unperturbed by Ca2+ concentrations up to at least 1 µM. In addition, FluoZin™-3 exhibits a >50-fold increase in fluorescence in response to saturating levels of Zn2+.

Unfortunately, for a lay audience, it seems that in this field the term "zinc spark" has become a term denoting the sudden release event of the Zn ions, i.e. the wave of chemical emission, and not just the light emitted when this wave of ions encounters an artificial dye.

I have no doubt some of our naively religious colleagues, especially the anti-abortionists, will be all over this like a rash, claiming it "proves" the soul enters the fertilised egg at conception, niddle, naddle noo....

You don´t clarify anything else but your own approach to what happen when the miracle of life takes off.
If you had actually watched and understood the video, you would have known about the zinc.
Do you really think I´m that stupid to post a video which I haven´t watched!?

Apparently you can´t recognize the pattern connection and as you have your focus on the zinc only in this miracle of life, you loose the very overall facts and call it woo.

Everything you don´t understand is apparently woo - and you use this term very frequently.

No matter how "naively religious colleagues, especially the anti-abortionists" takes this "rash", it STILL deals with the fertilisation and new making of life - and NOT just of how zinc reacts in this process.

We´re not just speaking of new "zinc-robots" being made and born, but of lives in different kind of species.

Why do you keep calling life a miracle? Miracles are things that appear to have no natural mechanism or cause; that are contrary to what would be expected, given the circumstances.
There is no reason to conclude this about life. It's a phenomena we still have a lot of questions about, true, but there's no reason to consider it miraculous.

You´re not much of a philosopher, are you?

What conclusion were you drawing from this 'spark', anyway, Native? You clearly considered it noteworthy.

Are you much of a scientist?
Do you mean one of those who only knows off about 4 % of the Universe and believe in occult agencies of gravity, dark matter and dark energy and other superstitious ideas as for instants Big Bang?

Oh my, did I say that!

I wouldn't know - I'm not a scientist.

Zn²⁺ ions are suddenly expelled from a newly formed zygote. That's what the science shows. That is all.
