Human crushes

Journal, lately I've been finding myself having a crush on this single guy. I find him sweet in a way that's appealing to me. My concern is that trans women aren't the first thing on his mind. But one can dream:

Yah... That can be a scary risk to take. What about him do you like? :)

We may have some of the same interests. To me, he comes off as lonely. In a certain way, I'm a bit lonely too sometimes. Even if my god gives me a lot of company. Society these days is confusing, where the bad boys are usually nice guys deep down, and the guys considering themselves "nice guys" often aren't in touch with their emotions and can sometimes hurt women - even if not physically. But he strikes me more of that bad boy, rough exterior, soft inside type - something that I can possibly work with.

My husband has a tough exterior, sensitive nature, well...when it comes to me. I like that ''type,'' too. :relaxed:

Are you friends with him?

I'm gonna say the thing that's hard to say as a friend and it's this: there is no perfect time, no perfect circumstance, that will make somebody like you that's not going to like you anyway.

This sounds bad but it's actually not: the point is that there is literally no reason not to make your intentions known now.

By "now" I still mean some appropriate social time, like after a really good conversation or after a good hangout of any type, etc.

Ask him if he wants to so something one on one and call it a date while you ask to be clear. If he says he'd rather be friends then do that if you value friendship with him.

This advice brought to you by me, who has asked sooo many women out that turned out to be straight but still became best buds. You just have to accept friendship if that's what it is, truly so, you can't make it awkward after that. When I was still learning I lost potential friends by being a big whiner about someone I liked not liking me back. Just make sure you don't do that.
