Surge Of COVID-19 Infections For Unvaccinated People Is Only Beginning

If they don't have antibodies from having covid or getting the vaccine,, natural selection will sort it out. Its how evolution works. Of course that's my opinion.

"MIAMI (CBSMiami/CNN) – With the recent increase of Covid-19 infections and hospitalizations due to the spread of the highly transmissible Delta variant, health experts and officials expect the surge to worsen as long as large segments of the country remain unvaccinated.

“We will see this big, steep acceleration,” Dr. Peter Hotez, co-director for the Center for Vaccine Development at Texas Children’s Hospital, told CNN’s Anderson Cooper on Friday. “As bad as things are right now in the South, they are about to get worse for lots of unvaccinated individuals.”

The ones I feel sorry for are the medical personnel forced to keep slogging through this because of selfish nitwits. All those who have their healthcare for other things detrimentally effected because of selfish arselings refusing to act with a sense of social responsibility.

Yet but this new variant is being caught and spread by even the vaccinated. So its not just nitwits, its just unfortunate.
Sadly there will be more variants to come. What have there been so far, like 8 or so.

refusing to act with a sense of social responsibility.

Why do some people expect me to act with their best interests at heart, without having done anything to deserve it? What makes them so worthy and important in their mind, I wonder.

My only obligations are to myself, to God(s), and to the few people I care about in this world. I would not call that “social responsibility”.

In my opinion the virus and the vaccine has become too political.
If one party says take it, people will rush out and get it.
If one party says don't take it, people will refuse it even on their death bed.

Yet there are many that think "I did it, so you should do it too" and think that justifies it.

Even if you have had it, have the antibodies for it, some still think you should be forced to take the vaccine

Choice is of no matter anymore it seems in my opinion.

Virus really don't care about vaccination status. Take it by situation instead of one shoe fits all.

Well then, the vaccinated have nothing to worry about. Sounds like a done deal now.

It's for those unvaccinated to worry about.

It is a fact we are social animals and are no better than feral beasts without the complex layers that build society and culture and make it work. Like it or not, we have evolved to thrive with mutual cooperation. This is biology.
And it is an obligation to yourself as well. The risks of side effects with the vaccine are insignificant and negligible compared to the risks that come with contracting covid. That one is just math.

Except the unvaccinated are needlessly giving covid more chances to mutate, and are the reason this pandemic is lingering and looking more like an endemic outbreak concentrated in areas of low vaccination rate.

This is a meme(so hopefully I don't get a warning for it) but in my opinion many would do it.

Except as I've said we literally have a world full of evidence. This isn't one state, one university, or even one collective organization. This is multiple states, research labs, agencies, individuals, amd universities around the world.

Right. Its antibodies, natural or vaccine arisen that will keep people from getting a severe sickness. However antibodies, no matter how gotten, doesn't stop anyone from getting it and spreading it.

It does make you less infectious actually.

Why is mutation such a huge deal? Most are not even viable and I'm sure at some point covid will mutate into a more harmless form like the Spanish Flu did.

Virus do not always mutate in one direction into the horsemen of the apocalyptic order.

Its going to run the course, then it will be all over.

Until something new comes along someday.

If you carry it, it can mutate. Of course thats my opinion.(im getting to be any expert at adding that :D)

When revising its mask guidance this week to urge even vaccinated people to wear masks indoors in much of the country, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention was criticized for not citing data in making that move.

Now it has — and the data is sobering.

The study details a COVID-19 outbreak that started July 3 in Provincetown, Mass., involving 469 cases. It found that three-quarters of cases occurred in fully vaccinated people. Massachusetts has a high rate of vaccination: about 69% among eligible adults in the state at the time of the study.

It also found no significant difference in the viral load present in the breakthrough infections occurring in fully vaccinated people and the other cases, suggesting the viral load of vaccinated and unvaccinated persons infected with the coronavirus is similar.

See post #16 for evidence that many vaccinated seem to be ignoring
