some people see a glass half full,
others see a glass half empty,
but in truth

the cup, the holy grail, is full.

isn't it?

my cup runneth over

My coffee mug is a quarter full. If I use the mug in its current state to brew another cup in my Keurig, my cup will runneth over.

First one have to empty the cup of muddy false truth, then by wisdom fill the cup with only truth in every aspects of life.

so we've heard the parable of cleaning the cup but honestly the only thought one needs to hold on to is that being merciful, compassionate, isn't that hard to cup one's mind around. for someone to change they are going to need to change their mind, their thinking.

some are imprisoned in their own minds

Well, cleaning the cup from every bad habbit, bad words, thoughts and action done in life, and not repeating them is not that easy :)

If you keep pouring truth (clear water) into the false (muddy water) the overflow will slowly clean up the water as it overflows.
Some muddy will always remain.
As a matter of interest this would follow the same law as radio active decay. If it takes 10 seconds to fill the glass then every 10 seconds decreases the mud by a half, it's half life.
:)

I prefer cautious optimism. My glass is half full, but I keep a pitcher of water to my side in case it drops below that. :D

focus on love, when you're attention gets averted refocus on love. do not focus on getting rid of, or incorporating better habits, but keep focus on that vison, that ideal, love with all your might.

deuteronomy 6:5

if you follow the way of the sufi, it is the way of Love

Yes, the way of sufi is unconditional love :) but there might be other ways to answer question in RF :) not always a sufis answer are from sufi teaching.
The above answer i gave are often seen in buddhism

the reality is the glass is half full of one thing and half full of another but the glass is full even if there appears some contrast.

like the dao optimism and passim are just two views of one reality. nature abhors a vacuum

the glass is half-full of water and half-empty of water at the same time.
the half empty of water is in reality air, or for that matter could be oil, or some other substance.

nothing isn't an option
