In your religion. How does the world end?

Nothing my eye, Something for sure
Physics has the final say about the physical nature and end of our world. What's beyond that is a total mystery. Perhaps we are part of the ultimate reality and continue on. I find no reason to believe that human senses can tell the whole story. Perhaps math and logic can reach beyond the senses and reveal more.

In the Bahá’í Faith we are approaching a glorious golden age of humanity where a world civilisation will be born. We are told that the difficulties the world is undergoing at present is the death pangs of the old order and the birth pangs of the new civilisation.

So although there is suffering, it is like that of a woman about to bear a child, not the end of existence, but a beautiful new birth of humanity’s realisation of its oneness.

So, does that mean that capitalism gets the boot, and where we all get some just consideration rather than more our worth to some other individual? Given that the wealth of these blood-suckers doesn't reflect on their own worth.

I think the economy at that time will ensure that there are not the extremes of wealth and poverty we see today. There will be degrees of wealth but everyone will live in relative comfort having all their basic needs such as food, shelter, medical coverage, education and work. I think instead of capitalism we will have a system of profit sharing where the employees, on top of their wages, will receive a percentage of the company’s profits instead of it all going to one individual.

Not going that way as far as I can see, but not sure how we could effect change so that the wealth gap became less - apart from some form of socialism becoming more popular - and I can't see that on the horizon either.

I believe humanity will develop more compassion as we mature and in steps, adjust the wealth gap. It won’t be done by forced legislation or any form of socialism but out of humaneness people will feel more and more uncomfortable seeing others in misery. There is so much good in humanity the press never reports and eventually we will see more value in all people being comfortable than turning a blind eye.

Well I have seen some shift in attitudes (here in the UK) as regards LGBT rights and such, and which I do view as being beneficial apart from for those who have been affected obviously, in that many probably are more tolerant towards others. Not sure how other countries are managing though, especially the ones where religion tends to dominate.

I agree. Change in attitudes are happening all over the world for the better. But some flowers blossom later than others so it just takes longer for some.

the world does not end. end is en de back to begin. Moses is those good after being evil now when time is six [ten kings] those who stay evil have only good remains next time period. The last two verse of the bible [rev. 20 and 21] is one spirit back to god and another back to a new earth as good. The name "lord jesus" has no faith 'Christ" and goes to chapter 21 from verse 20 while the lord jesus christ at verse 21 goes to chapter 22 as heaven. eternal cycle of evil to good to god or evil has good at first time of two halves to find god and not return.

As is generally known, Hindus believe the universe to be cyclical, though the cycle last 317 trillion years.
In my personal belief as an Advaitist Hindu (following non-duality), there is no universe itself and what we perceive is only an illusion (maya). So, if no universe, then no creation, no dissolution.
That also removes any God/Gods (since no creation is required), soul, messages, messengers, hell, heaven, salvation, end of days, birth, death or reincarnation.
All problems solved in one stroke (like Thor's hammer does).

I'll take it you are afraid of the transhumanist movement?

No, I find it fascinating... but, when I think about the “vision” I just described, it was so real. It’s like I was there, everything was so vivid, it began with bright colors/ excitement/ and happiness, and that all faded away as a dark shadow enveloped everything and the bad trip began. I saw everything and it was horrifying, and all I wanted to do was wake up and escape. I couldn’t, at least, not right away. I had to watch people suffer and scream, and be tortured by their collective decisions and eventually be consumed by the very things that once fueled their joy, and eventually become monsterous biomechanical horrors. When it was finally over, and still fresh in my mind, I wrote everything down.

What I described was a summary of a bad trip I experienced while my subconscious was piecing together a glimpse into a possible future, apparently, Not a supernatural glimpse, obviously, but more like when you play chess and can glimpse into the future many moves ahead, based off of what you know about the pieces and what they can do, their position in the board, as well as human nature and what choices you might expect from another human being.

So no, I have nothing against transhumanism. It’s awesome, actually. I just know, however, that there are so many ways in which it can all go very, very wrong.

There was a central recurring message that I kept feeling throughout that experience, which I omitted from my previous post. It was: “Death is a mercy”. Humans are so eager to overcome death.... but if you could not die, the new limitless horrors that might await you could be worse than anything you’d ever experience in the lives we live now.

Our planet will be absorbed by the Sun in about 7.5 billion years, after the star has entered the red giant phase and expanded beyond the planet's current orbit.

It only takes 1 billion years for the oceans to boil from increased luminosity from Sol.

We evolved onto a planet already most of the way through its life.

I think the world ends like in the book of revelation.Because I like christianity. What does your religion say about the end of the world?:)
Jehovah God's Kingdom will establish his will on the earth (Matthew 6:10).

By means of this Kingdom, the wicked will be removed from the earth (Psalms 37:9-11) (Proverbs 2:21-22) and the righteous will inherit the earth and enjoy everlasting life on a peaceful paradise earth. (Psalms 37:29) (Matthew 5:5)
