I really doubt anyone will be drafted ever again, a billion soldiers can't fight a nuclear bomb
That to me is the #1 reason to stop registration.

The 13th Amendment allows the use of prisoners as slave labor. What right would a bunch of people in Washington to conscript anyone? It sounds a lot like a violation of the thirteenth amendment.
I thought we were supposed to have liberty and justice.
The military draft & registration have been in the news again.
Women could have to register for the military draft under Democratic bill: Report

A few questions y'all can pick from...or bring your own:
- Should religious belief exempt people from fighting rolls?
- Or from any military roll?
- Is this fair to people who oppose combat for non-religious reasons?
- Should women pregnant or with infants be exempt?
- Or should all women be exempt?
- Should men with infants be exempt?
- Should draftees get a fair wage....say $200,000/year for a fighting roll?
- Shouldhandicappeddifferently abled people be forced to serve?
Some of us already had a trade.I don't mind people being drafted to serve their country for a limited period. I lot of people I know have learned a trade while serving in the military.
If serving one's country is so virtuous, whyAt the same time, I don't trust the government when it comes to decisions about war.
In defense of the country, sure. If they need folks to go to war in other countries, not so much.
So to serve one's country sure. To go to someone else's country and kill people, I'm not for that kind of draft.
Some of us already had a trade.
If serving one's country is so virtuous, why
should such a small percentage of men do
it against their will for slave wages.?
Don't forget Biden's 5 student deferments & his asthma deferment. No, I did not have five bone-spur deferments to avoid going.
I did.Great, that's even better. Jump right in and get to work.
Why is this support required of only a minority of straight men,I didn't claim it was virtuous. Just maybe the idea of supporting the country that supports you.
It's always the few.I thought the idea was to have everyone support the group they belong to in whatever capacity they can. Not just the few.
Buttigieg, on the other hand ...Odd, isn't it....we hear so much from the left about Trump being
a cowardly draft dodger, but only crickets about Biden doing the same.
I did.
I worked on F-18 flight controls at Northrop.
But I did this of my own free will.
**** conscription.
Why is this support required of only a minority of straight men,
& under threat of imprisonment? Do women, gays, clergy, trans,
& handicapped people have no duty to support their country?
It's always the few.
And the many are rather stingy at compensating them for it.
The US has conscription? The military draft & registration have been in the news again.

How about no draft at all? If a country cannot justify its actions to a point where we get consensual service then should they be doing it?The military draft & registration have been in the news again.

Still no criticism for Biden's avoiding the draft.Buttigieg, on the other hand ...
Only for those who planned on joining anyway. So a draft can coincide with freewill.
Ostensibly. But politics will introduce exceptions,Again, I thought the idea of this bill was to change that.
Even against their will?I'm fine with getting everyone involved.
We don't have conscription at the moment....not since the 70s.The US has conscription?
Aren't rolls something one butters?
And there should be free stuff for everybody that only the top 1% pay for, and no more war, or pollution, and free unicorn rides!Everyone should be exempt from the draft, and no one should be required to register.
It's like we share one brain! How about no draft at all? If a country cannot justify its actions to a point where we get consensual service then should they be doing it?
