Have you accepted your life as it is, or are you fighting it?

Today i realized that the only true path i can take, is to accept life as it is. With its good and bad (less god) parts.
No need to fight it ( for me)

How about you?
Are you accepting life as it is? Or are you fighting it to make it better?

What does it mean to accept something as it is?
Is it the opposite of fighting to make it better?

I'm fight'n mad, all the time. Life comes at me, and I spit in his face, kick his shins, and beat him upside the head with a crowbar.

I would say challenging yourself and be productive makes your life better and let things come that we cannot control. The word fighting wouldn't be appropriate, in my opinion. We can challenge, question, and change ourselves-maybe the best way I can put it is, instead, don't take things for granted.

I'm a nihilist, therefore I can't accept a reason not to fight for a better world.

Fighting to make it better. If I die now, I'm not ready, my life is too shameful to die like this.

I think that if I weren't trying to make the world a better place, I would be abdicating my duty as a human being.

I'm trying to accept life as it is, and change myself around it.

There are some things I have the capacity to change, but there's even more I don't. My life is not really my own. I'm not sure I would want it to be, if it could be.

Some days I do better with the acceptance, others not so much.

I'm a work in progress.

I don't accept it but I do recognize it and adapt as best I can. That is, there are things I can still do rather than sit like a human punching bag to make life better, yet not complain either when things go south.

What else is there to do? You can rail and weep and carry on, but life happens anyway. You can always try to make it go smoother (get the vaccine, for example, or save money for hard times), but in the end, que sera, sera!

And *****ing about it won't make it any better.

Do you really want to know? I just told my friend Duane (Truthseeker9) in a private Conversation we have going but I won't repeat all of that here because I am not proud of it.

No, I do not accept my life as it is right now and I have no hope that it will ever change. I have no free will to change my life, it is what it is because of so many circumstances that are beyond my control. I can't just "make it better" because I want to.

I am sick of everything I am expected to do to be a "good Baha'i" and there is nothing I want more than be an atheist so I can have a life for myself. I am sure that sounds selfish but that is where I am at right now.

Do you really think that most believers are believers but they would rather be atheists? Think again. I don't know what they are getting for themselves for being a believer, that completely eludes me because I get nothing, but they are getting something. They are not only getting something in this life but they believe they will have a reward in the afterlife. I believe there will be a reward too, but I do not want a reward.
