Who decides which side the conscript fights on? Is there a bidding war? Does the fighter have no choice in who he's required to kill, and for what?
What gives one entity the right to own another; in Christian terms, to condemn another to Hell for violating the 6th commandment? Does the conscript have no say in the matter? No freedom of conscience?
Does a resident of a Crips (American street gang) neighborhood owe service to the Crips, in their war with the neighboring Bloods? Do the Crips have a right to order a resident to go shoot a neighbor a few blocks away? Can the Crips take the resident's sin upon themselves?
What's the difference, besides scale?
