Is a solution a fairytale?

Realistically what is Israel so afraid of if they let the Arab people control all of East Jerusalem?

would that bring peace?

Or do the Arab People want more and if that is so, what parts of Israel do they want and if granted would that bring peace?

Do the Jewish people think that it would be the beginning of their demise as a nation and people if they gave the Arab people what they wanted? If they don’t think this way then why don’t they just go ahead and do it and bring peace?

What either side "wants", today, could never be granted if the other side were also to be satisfied. Any agreement would take a willingness to reach agreement that is strong enough to allow compromises by both to achieve it. This kind of thing has been found to be possible all over the world, when there is a real desire for permanent peace. The initial list of wants can be gradually whittled down, as trust between the parties grows. Unfortunately, the behaviour of both sides in recent years has been such as to stir up hatred and anger, and thus make the desire for peace wither away - the opposite of what is necessary.

Personally, I hold the Israeli government particularly responsible for this state of affairs (though of course the Palestinians are far from blameless), because Israel is the dominant governing power and has the backing of the most powerful nation on earth. It is therefore the Israeli government who are in a position to start being creative. But it suits Netanyahu to be intransigent, as violence such as we are seeing helps give him political support and thereby distracts the population from his corruption.

So you’re basically sayin it’s a fairytale.

Fear. Understandable fear. Hence what I say about building trust.

At this point, after all these rocket attacks, many of them probably do think that. Israel is, as you pointed out, surrounded by populous Arab states that are not specially friendly. Trust is the issue.

Well if these surrounding Arab states aren’t particularly friendly then it isnt about trust

Except that their lack of friendliness is due to their perception of the treatment of the Palestinian by the Israelis...who they do not trust.

So neither side trusts the other. Israelis are fearful that they will lose their nation and perhaps their identity, and the surrounding Arab countries are afraid that they’ll lose their countries and their identities.
Sad situation
Hopefully trust can be found like u said

More terrorism. Like what happened in the 90's and early 2000's when they were given weapons.
See for example: Al-Aqsa Intifada - Wikipedia

So far, whenever they've been given anything, they've used it against us. See the Intifada article I brought above. And when we pulled out of the Gaza Strip in 2005, they built Hamas training camps in the areas that we used to live in. Perhaps you may be able to understand why it's hard for us to build trust with them, despite multiple attempts to do so.

Unfortunately I’ve resigned myself to to remain undecided about the conflict.
I hope peace will be found one day

I think Arab people want to see Israel taken completely off the map.

Except it isn't really. Israel has a nuke so there is no way it is not going to survive. And the Arab countries are expressing solidarity with the Palestinians, rather than being fearful on their own account.
