I used to watch that show on Adult Swim (animation for adults). It's called Metalocalypse.

I'm not a death metal fan, but the show was pretty funny, and I enjoyed the art. The singer is Nathan Explosion. It looks like they may have a feature film coming out: Adult Swim Announces 'Metalocalypse' Movie

I'm similar, I'm not a huge death metal fan, but occasionally Dethklok or a few other bands I find a song or few I like. I was never a fan of the Metalocalypse show, but maybe I'll give it another go.
