What is holding me back is my desire to pray to God for an out of body experiment.Or lucid dream.Do you know of any jehovah's witness magazines?Or websites that help with this?

Not JW, but here is an article about it.
Lucid dreams: Their role, and how they register in the brain

Edit: Also, A lucid dream researcher’s tips for controlling your dreams

Edit 2: I'm a lucid dream researcher – here's how to train your brain to do it

Edit 3: Worship God how you see fit, even if it means Lucid Dreaming is your prayer.

The answer is no....and it has always been no....and will remain NO!

If you want to engage in occult practices then you have a desire to worship the wrong God....you will never be one of Jehovah's Witnesses because those practices are forbidden in God's word.

If that is holding you back...then please don't hold your breath.....God will never change to suit what you want....you have to change to suit what he wants......can we make this any plainer.....enough now.

Even Paul had to fake a vision so none of the Pauline-Christian denominations 32000+ of them, including Catholics, JWs and even LDS will, I understand. Right?

lucid dreams are not religious experiences. I've had a lucid dreams and i believe it is simply being slightly conscious at the time of your dream to the point where you can decide what happens in your dream. I've even woken up from a dream and thought, i want to go back so go back to sleep and im right back in the dream again.

I had a look on our Watchtower online library and there are lots of articles about dreaming. See if you can find some articles here Search — Watchtower ONLINE LIBRARY (jw.org)

Out of Body experiences are another thing alltogether and not advisable to try.

been there.....did that.....

I am sooooo much better for the experience
many years ago
altogether spontaneous and natural

once was enough

otherwise you would do well to just sort through what you saw last night
what goes on inside your head......is yours

who else? ......should have a say

I want to lucid dream. But I want to pray to God to send me one just in case.So far all the jws I have talked to.Say praying to God for a lucid dream doesn't work. They say it might somehow get satan to do it by accident.:(

If you do become JW, find people who understand where you come from and won't chastise your questions. Don't jump in until you've studied. That, and decern if these things are worth keeping. Lucid dreams aren't ocultish by the way. Dreams.

I personally wouldn't suggest to be JW, but not everyone is the same. Be the difference.

How do you know lucid dreams without prayer to God to make them happen are not from satan?

I dont think 'lucid dreams' and 'out of body experiences' are the same things.

Out of body experiences are surely something that comes from messing with your mind (as in the case of Yoga meditation) and letting something more sinister take over. This is occultish and should be avoided at all costs.

But lucid dreaming is not. Its really just a mildly awake state during a dream. If some people put religious connotations to it, then they would be wrong. If religous people use it as a spiritual practice, then thats somewhere to draw the line. You cant force a lucid dream by incantation or anything like that because you have to already be alseep before a lucid dream could happen. So there really is nothing to a lucid dream except that you are regaining consiousness and coming out of a sleep.

I dont think lucid dreams have anything to do with God or satan. Its just our subconscious mind at work.

I agree. I used to have them frequently, and they never had anything to do with God or the occult, nor were they anything I sought out. They just happened.

yes absolutely agree. i've had them just randomly...not thru trying to have them.

I used to dream of a school repetitively(the same school), and it got to a point that if I dreamt of the school, I knew it was a dream, and I could have control of whatever I wanted to do.

I miss those dreams... the library there was amazing. Spent a lot of time there.

Never did figure out why the pool was often out of order.

I may have this all wrong.Lucid dreams might not be from satan. But I want to keep praying to God to make it happen just in case.:)
Just in case of?

May i ask you two questions Frank?
1: Why do you want to experience Lucid dreams? What do you expect to learn from it?
2: When people tell you JW or other religions do no dabble with lucid dreams, why do you keep pushing for it?
