Question to christians and muslims

John1.12

Yes, that's what the Qur'an says.

Surat al-imraan, ayah 85: "And whoever desires other than Islam as religion - never will it be accepted from him, and he, in the Hereafter, will be among the losers."
This alone refutes the idea that all religions lead to God .

Why, then, are you right and muslims wrong?
I believe Muslims are wrong because of the bible. They try make there religion fit the bible. They claim to believe in Jesus ,but clearly they Believe in a Jesus that's not the same Jesus as the bible describes and they don't Believe 1 cor 15 ,1-4 They reject what the bible says ( or rather they say the Gospels were corrupted) They reject what's absolutely foundational to the bible.
1¶Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;

2By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.

3¶For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

4And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

My point is they both cannot be right . Either one is right or both are wrong .
Not necessarily. Both could be right in parts and wrong in others. In particular, both could be wrong in claiming that their way is the only way, but right in their shared idea of a loving and merciful God, in whom we can trust and who demands that we live according to certain principles.

Yes you could probably find some common features within several different truth claims/ religions . However the fundementals and the essentials that matter ,this is a whole different matter .

"You believe".

But the bible is just your chosen scripture. Muslims have the Quran, which is their chosen Scripture. And Jews have the Tanakh, which is their chosen scripture - and is basically the earlier part of yours, without the parts about Jesus.

So what makes your chosen scripture more plausible than theirs? (And don't tell me "Because it says so in the bible", obviously :D)

'plausible '? that's a little subjective .

If
So in this case what would that be, then, in your opinion?
If someone is claiming ' All religions leads to God ' Where are they getting this from ? Is it in a text somewhere, claiming to be from God . Was it from a council ? a think tank ? a ted talk ? Wikipedia lol Clearly its not from studying religions and worldviews .

Hang on, that's different from what you said earlier. What you were criticising then was that there could be multiple ways to God, not that all religions lead to God. Nobody has proposed that all religions do so, and that is not what the OP asked either. Don't move the goalposts.

The proposition is that there may be multiple ways to God. As for where this idea comes from, it comes from people's heads. There are some who think for themselves, based on what they observe in the world around them. Not everyone has to be told what to think by reading a text.

Not at all.

Come on, justify why your scripture is right and that of all other religions is wrong.

If you can't then, fairly obviously you have no grounds for claiming these religions must all be wrong.
Jesus says he's the only way . This alone refutes ' other ways ' .

If Islam is true then Christianity is false . This is my point . If Hinduism is right Islam then Christianity is false . You can't work hindiusm into christianity. You can't work Buddhism ,which says there is no God into Islam and Christianity . Its an insult to say to a Muslim " hey your beliefs and Christians beliefs all lead to the same God "

As a Christian I believe that Jesus is the only way . This Jesus being God who came in the flesh , died for our sins and rose again on the third day, according to the Scriptures. The one ' way ' is to believe the above. This is how the bible says a person receives salvation today. Islam would be the complete opposite to this .

At least one of you two is going to be disappointed then ;)

I wonder what you’ll say to each other, if you meet in paradise?

Ok are you saying that the idea " there may be multiple ways to God " comes from peoples heads not from any text claim from God, but from observing the world around them ?
