But there may be several ways of submitting to Allah, may there not? Even within Islam there are considerable variations in how this is interpreted.

In fact I don’t really have a religion. Not convinced I need one, to get closer to God.

One of many.

It was my time living in the Persian Gulf - and some visits I made from there to Buddhist Thailand - that made me see the implausibility of any one religion claiming that only it has The Truth and all the others are false. Says who? All are based on some scripture, without any empirical means of support. So who is to say one scripture is "right" and others are "wrong"? On what grounds? Especially when most people adopt a religion for no better reason than that it is what was prevalent in the community they were brought up in - in other words a kind of tribal allegiance.

I have seen in Islam and in Buddhism some of the same ideas for living one's life that one finds in Christianity. It is hard to dismiss them as wrong, when there is no evidence that Christianity is any more right.

But notice I made a specification by saying "submission to Allah", because to answer yes or no to his questions would require explaning the questions better or risk being misunderstood.

Yes, that's what the Qur'an says.

Surat al-imraan, ayah 85: "And whoever desires other than Islam as religion - never will it be accepted from him, and he, in the Hereafter, will be among the losers."

I don't think so. Submitting is submitting, but if you want to nitpick...
I haven't heard of variations within islam on how submitting to Allah happens. Maybe you can given an example.

As a Christian I believe that Jesus is the only way . This Jesus being God who came in the flesh , died for our sins and rose again on the third day, according to the Scriptures. The one ' way ' is to believe the above. This is how the bible says a person receives salvation today. Islam would be the complete opposite to this .

That's true . God’s never far away from us. But God does require everyone to believe on Jesus to be glorified, to go to heaven when we die. ( This the bible says )

Actually Jesus came around and said, "I'm alive," because there was a rumour that he had died.

Saying, "I have been resurrected" or "I rose from the dead" etc., would have been much more appropriate if he had indeed been resurrected.

If you heard a friend of yours died, and he knocked on your door two days later, what would your first thought be? That he hadn't died after all or that he had died and been resurrected?

It seems that some claim that there are multiple ways to God without any Justification . It seems like its a invalidated assumption?

Jesus said he would rise after his death . Many times through the Gospels .And the bible says he was resurrected .
