What a boring existence for this thing

I think being a Christian is boring. But that doesn't really matter.
Ultimately, that spider doesn't give on damn about what you think of its existence.
I think that life is not boring. I l suppose the spider living in that hole most of its life doesn't have much brain(?) to wonder about things, I also suppose it isn't "un-happy." Just looking for its next prey. It does give me food for thought. :) at the wonderment of the available fabulous things on this earth to enjoy and explore.

Why ascribe a human emotion to a spider?
It's hard to imagine but then I'm not a spider, so you're right. Maybe the spider thinks and maybe he likes his existence. Spiders don't think like humans, or vice versa.

I agree

Obviously it doesn't find it boring too much. It has plenty of legs to walk and explore in case feeling bored:D
Ok with all that being said, I'd rather be a human. But as has been said, I don't have a choice. Neither did the spider. Somehow I think there are greater possibilities for humans to think and explore. Survival of the fittest? It's interesting to consider. I wonder if the spider considers the possibility of difference? I guess he doesn't die of boredom, always on the lookout to catch food from his hole in the ground. Now that you mentioned it, he must lead an exciting life. At least he doesn't die of boredom. :) Am I happy for the spider that he doesn't die of boredom? Yes. But I'll try to keep out of his way.

I'd also rather not be a lion, but I don't have a choice. I'm glad I'm a human. The more I think about it, the better it becomes. Do you think lions think they might like or not like being a spider or a human?
I know me by happenstance, paraphrasing Isaac Newton.

Ok for me it would be boring but then I'm not a spider. If I were a spider, I probably wouldn't think much about it. I have no proof other than what I read and surmise about the spider's situation. It probably is wired up to be on the lookout. I guess.

#MeToo:D. And I did understand this from your OP already;). My reply was strictly a reply to the other person's reply, not to what you said

But as has been said, I don't have a choice. Neither did the spider.
I agree that the spider has no choice. IMO humans do have a choice, that's what distinguishes us from animals. We all eat, drink, have sex and fights and what not, but there is 1 clear distinction, which makes us different from animals, though I have seen people on RF claiming "we humans are just animals". Though they state it as a claim it's of course just their opinion, and definitely not mine
Somehow I think there are greater possibilities for humans to think and explore. Survival of the fittest? It's interesting to consider
To not consider would be wasting our given rather unique opportunity, being incarnated as a human being (IMHO)

I wonder if the spider considers the possibility of difference? I guess he doesn't die of boredom, always on the lookout to catch food from his hole in the ground
I don't believe so, I believe that is exactly what makes us humans different
Now that you mentioned it, he must lead an exciting life. At least he doesn't die of boredom. :)
I said that it seems the spider is not bored too much. But I am not yet ready to say "he must lead an exciting life";)
Am I happy for the spider that he doesn't die of boredom? Yes. But I'll try to keep out of his way.
#MeToo, I don't wish them death. And yes, I feel you. 8 of these creepy legs still isn't my way of excitement either. I'll rather sent them over to @Spiderman, I know he appreciates them more (to exchange some bodily fluids, if I recall correctly... brrr, I don't like needles let alone spiders sucking my blood)

I think 'feeling bored' is also relative.

My neighbor has a puppy. Cute little thing. Sadly I am too boring for her. He prefers to run and snif the whole garden, ignoring me:D

I don't blame him though, he better does it now, while his boss still allows it. Soon he will be more restricted I think;)

I think just sitting in a hole and eating all day would be my dream job.
My Master always warned us "be careful what you wish for...God can give it, you might not like it after all":D
I have done it for a whileo_O, was fun to eat all the stuff I wanted, some things twice, but did get boring after some time;)
