Saudi Arabia is Babylon?

I think I have found clear evidence that Saudi Arabia is Babylon.

Revelation 18:17-19 NASB
And every shipmaster and every passenger and sailor, and all who make their living by the sea, stood at a distance, and were crying out as they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, ‘What city is like the great city?’ And they threw dust on their heads and were crying out, weeping and mourning, saying, ‘Woe, woe, the great city, in which all who had ships at sea became rich from her prosperity, for in one hour she has been laid waste!’

To the people who say it's the USA or Europe, since when do Europeans throw dust on their heads when they mourn? That's what people who live in the Middle East do, but not Europeans. This passage tells us also that Babylon must live near a sea where many ships pass. This sea is the Red Sea, it's the busiest ship crossing in the world.

Where is Babylon now? In 2019, UNESCO designated Babylon as a World Heritage Site. To visit Babylon today, you have to go to Iraq, 55 miles south of Baghdad.

So not in Saudi Arabia :) But Iraq

“The burden against the sea country(Arabia)” (Isaiah 21:1)
“The burden against Arabia” (Isaiah 21:11)
“Fallen, fallen is Babylon” (Isaiah 21:13)
“The burden against Arabia” (Isaiah 21:13)
“All the glory of Arabia will fail” (Isaiah 21:16).

Arabia is being destroyed by Iran “Elam” (Isaiah 21:2).

So archeology is wrong about finding Babylon in Iraq?

Babylon in the OT is Iraq, Babylon in Revelation is referring to a certain religious system that has to be destroyed. The woman riding the scarlet beast is Rome and then we find out that it is also the catholic pagan system. It is also associated with the 4th beast of Daniel 7.

The four beasts in Daniel are separate kingdoms. The fourth runs down all the way to when Christ returns. The four beasts in Revelation are 4 Kingdoms too, but they are the same kingdom as it exists and changes through time, from John to the return of Christ. That is the Roman Empire and Roman religious system. Fascinating study!!

Even in the Seals where it talks about the four horsemen. The earth is the Roman Empire, the horse and it's color are the condition of the Empire and the rider is the cause of the condition of the Empire. The Seals are pagan Roman, the Trumpets are Christian Roman and the Vials are the holy Roman Empire time periods. The Thunders are when Christ returns and is here.

But in scripture, Babylon is Roman Catholic system.

Roman epmire cannot be the fourth empire. According to Daniel, the fourth empire was to crush the three previous empires. But Rome never conquered Babylon (Iraq) and Medo Persia (Iran). Only the Islamic Caliphate did that. Today these areas are (as prophesied) Islamic. And another thing, in Revelation, instead of 4 kingdoms, 5 are mentioned, this is because Daniel omitted a kingdom, and this kingdom he omitted is the Roman Empire, because the Roman Empire did not meet the requirements.

The Roman Empire is the 4 Kingdom in Daniel and the 4 beasts in Revelation. Remember that this is symbolic. Rome didnt have to conquer Babylon, it was talking about certain kings. Horn represent kings. It even says it.

Really not sure where you get that the Roman Empire is omitted and that it didnt meet the requirements. What reqiurments? Keep in mind, Daniel 7 goes with chapter too also. It matches up the the image in the dream. There is a reason why Rome is the two legs....

But getting back to Revelation. The great red dragon, beast of the sea, beast of the earth and the scarlet colored beast are all the same kingdom as it exists and changes over time. It also represents pagan religion, as we see that with the woman riding the beast.

I am talking about Mecca.

"The Mahdi will rule the world from Jerusalem because
Mecca will be destroyed"

Yawm Al-Ghadab Safar Alwaly
What on earth makes you think the fanatically devout Iranians with their deep reverence for Islamic shrines and holy places would destroy Mecca?

It is the Wahhabi of Saudi Arabia that seem to be hell bent on destroying shrines.

Iran destroying Mecca would be like a Catholic country bombing the Vatican.

I suppose it is not impossible that Iran would invade SA if it felt strong enough to go head to head, but destroying Mecca is altogether different to invading the general surrounds of SA.

Perhaps there has not yet been a such event that would make USA or Europe to mourn like that? It is interesting that for some reason the city of Revelation 18:17-19 sounds a lot like New York or Rome/Vatican. Sad thing is that many cities reminds me of it.

Addressing the OP,
Revelation 18:17-19 NASB
And every shipmaster and every passenger and sailor, and all who make their living by the sea, stood at a distance, and were crying out as they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, ‘What city is like the great city?’ And they threw dust on their heads and were crying out, weeping and mourning, saying, ‘Woe, woe, the great city, in which all who had ships at sea became rich from her prosperity, for in one hour she has been laid waste!’

There are two GREAT CITIES in REVELATION, One Spiritual, and one Carnal.

GREAT CITY #1. Revelation 21:10 "And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,"

Great City #2. Revelation 11:8 "And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified."
and that "Great City" is Jerusalem.

Most scholars agree that the original understanding of Babylon in the book of Revelation is either Rome, because of its paganism, or Jerusalem, which was ultimately destroyed by Rome (this is the preterist view). In Peter's epistle, he speaks of being in Babylon, it is thought he is referring to being in Rome.

I believe Babylon was in Iraq and there is not a city of varied languages there nor is there in Saudi Arabia. NYC on the other hand is a city of many languages and Nostradamus has predicted its demise.

I believe the passage is about New Babylon. There is no indication that it is in the same place as the old one.

Arabia is being destroyed by Iran “Elam” (Isaiah 21:2).

I believe that has already happened when the Persians (Iran, Elam) defeated Babylon.
