Spirit of Light
Be who ever you want
Today it has been a day of thinking and pondering about why human beings from different religions struggle to live together or even respecting each others. I am sure some muslims would tell that we should not be good to non muslims, but guess what the quran do tell us to be good to others no matter religion or not.
(PS: i do know about verses that seem to say oposit, so no need to pull that trick out of the hat again )
But i want to share this.
The holy Quran is a not an anti Jewish or anti Christian book, rather it came from ALLAH to correct the corruption done to previous Divine revelations. Islam is not a new religion, in fact all the Prophet’s of Allah came to give the same teachings of Islam. Muslims don’t despise any non Muslim and cannot misbehave with them from no reason. Allah says in Quran:
“Allah does not forbid you to be just and righteous towards those who did not go into battle against you (over matters of faith), and did not expel you from your homes. Deal with them justly. Allah loves those who are just.”
The Holy Quran, Chapter 60, Verse 8
It is very clearly mentioned here that Allah doesn’t forbid us to be kind and just with non-Muslims. It is also mentioned in Quran that there is no compulsion in religion.
“Let there be no compulsion in religion: Truth stands out clear from Error: whoever rejects evil and believes in God hath grasped the most trustworthy hand- hold, that never breaks. And God heareth and knoweth all things.”
The Holy Quran, Chapter 2, Verse 256
There is no compulsion in religion Islam, a person has his own will if he want to expect Islam or not. Islam is a blessing on Mankind.
So to me i find it a blessing to welcome anyone from any religion or no religion at all in to my circle of friends.
I will use Ramadan to soften my heart even more, and to be open to any human being.
Personal growth has already been spoken about in other OP today, and i believe a personal growth is to not hate anyone. to be there for others.
