Who's handling the border crisis? Answer: Nobody.

It is not possible to pass any legislation that could help resolve this problem. The republicans in the senate will block any legislation put forth by the democrats in the congress, because they DO NOT WANT the problem to be resolved. What they want, is to continue doing what YOU are doing: blaming the lack of solutions on the Biden administration, and on the democrats in general. Their plan is to continue blocking any and all possible legislative solutions to any problems facing the country so they can blame the lack of solutions on the democrats in the next election cycle. They care only about winning in the next election cycle. And they are willing to block any possible solutions until then to achieve that goal.

And here you are, post after post after post, thread after thread, echoing their absurdly selfish and destructive accusations.

What are they actually doing to block things?

An example of this behavior is greatly appreciated providing it can be found.

So after all the bragging that they can handle it, the loud mouth tough guy stance by offering sanctuary cities, all the mocking of the Trump administration efforts with some legit exceptions ...

...the Democrat solution is to do absolutely nothing at all.

The last time I asked you what kind of policy you expected, you explained how the US ought to take control of the security forces of Central American countries and start hunting down drug lords with American military power.

However, even if that's what your elected officials were doing (which they obviously don't) such a large scale invasion would take a lot of time, and wouldn't solve the problem of poor foreigners crossing the US border from Mexico.

The republicans in the senate have stated many times that they are going to block any legislation from the democratic congress. And they have been doing it since Obama was first elected.

The fact that you "demand examples" is just a waste of time and effort.

Perhaps you could tell us what you think should be done, which is not being done, and who you think could manage it better.
I'll tell you. With the exception of separating legit families which I am against, Trumps policies were working quite well and showing actual results until Biden came along.

I'm still for going into the South American Triangle and surgically clearing out the kingpins like was done with Escobar.

That's because you have no examples. Can't show what isn't there. Not your fault though.

Only to be replaced by more, and ever more ruthless ones. Because the global dynamics that create them, remain. Just as we were unable to wipe them out in Afghanistan. Or in Iraq/Iran/Turkey/Libya etc.,. The republicans love playing global criminal "whack-a-mole" with the military because all their rich cronies make a fortune supplying the arms every time we do it. But it never actually works, because there are always more moles, and they are even more ruthless in succeeding generations, thanks to their growing up in a war zone.

Our choices are to invade, annex, and control those countries, for many decades and at enormous cost to us - until they become reasonable and viable first-world nations. Or let them run their horrific course. Which is what we do, now. But then we're going to have millions of frightened innocent civilians from those countries running to our borders for help. And when we reject them, many of them will die horrible deaths.

No not necessarily. The people at the helm are selected on their ability.

"Cutting the head off the snake" is an effective practice of keeping cartels from becoming too smart by making sure less capable people are in charge. Plus the resulting power plays in a leadership vacuum will almost always create a bonus of infighting and further internal destruction of cartels as they fight among themselves to aquire the alpha position.

This has been proven wrong many, many times. Every time we cut off one head, three more immediately spring up, each with it's own agenda; that make them far more complicated and difficult to eliminate. You are drinking the war-monger's cooled. They all get rich, while the U.S. falls deeper and deeper into debt, and our sons and daughters die in endless 'whack-a-mole' mini-wars all over the planet.

Do you have any examples of Republicans in the Senate doing that? Do you have any examples of House legislation that would fix the border situation?

Hardly. Getting rid of Escobar quieted things down for awhile after that and created chaos within the cartels.

That's just a standard right-wing "chase down this rabbit-hole of endless justification" response.

So your solution is to be fearful and just let the bad people do whatever they want with impunity.

What we're doing is exhausting us economically, and is not working. We need to face this truth and start making some serious decisions about how we wish to proceed. It may well be the case that there is nothing we can reasonably do. But it's more likely that there are lots of alternative strategies that would be far more effective than playing 'military whack-a-mole' just so some rich Americans can get richer.
