The ketchup crisis

The things we learn on the internet! It seems like there is a shortage of ketchup in the US.
My dear American friends, do not despair. I found a solution for your problem. Here's a recipe for homemade ketchup:

Homemade Ketchup In Just 5 Minutes!

Easy, cheap and based on the ingredient list, should taste good. And, huge bonus, must be healthier than the bottled version.
There you go, problem solved.
Feel free to express your gratitude in the comments :D

If you find a recipe for common sense and listening skills, we're lacking those too...

Thanks for the recipe :) but what came to mind when I saw that on TV last night is how absurd it is to make a crisis out of not having enough ketchup, as if it matters given all the REAL crises we have in the world right now.o_O

I felt the same way about the toilet paper shortage. People were acting as if it was the end of the world and I wondered why people could not put anything in perspective. What would happen if they ran out of toilet paper anyway? Couldn't they improvise? There is such a thing as a washing machine and a dryer.

There is no such thing as Mexican ketchup. Mexicans mostly use other sauces. They are into other foods such as plantains, corn products etc. There are some sauces such as mole sauce, but this originates further South than Mexico and is an indigenous creation not modern. I should visit Mexico someday, but it is far from here. Ketchup is originally a French invention, which is why its so funny that Vee started the thread. Also we have a food here called French Fries that are not French. They are technically Belgian. The Belgians dip them in mayonnaise, and we dip them in ketchup. Maybe that's why we started calling them French fries, but I don't know why.
