F. I am glad this pandemic happened because I am better off now.

G. I am glad this pandemic happened because the world is better off now (although many people have died and will die.)

H. I think the pandemic has made the world situation worse.

I. I think the pandemic has made the world situation better.

J. There is no world situation, everything is just fine the way it is.

Overall it gave me a different perspective on how the government handles emergencies, people's reactions, and a sense of what if it were worse, what would we do. Apprehension to the different solutions rather than specific to COVID itself.

A. I wish it never happened, but only because of those who died from it didn't need to

D. The only time it affects me is if I'm going out and wear a mask or make doctors appointments. Though, I don't have to go in person anymore, just virtual. So that actually helped rather than hours siting in a car to get up town for a fifteen minute appointment

H. Although I'm not into politics, I honestly believe that this isn't an isolated situation. For some reason, I felt it had to do with Trumps close re-election (gut feeling)

O. I think of it insofar when I go out or look on the internet, I see marketing masks, and "get the vaccine! Where your mask!" every other article, advertisement, and such. It makes it less of an emergency and more of a "do it or else" type of thing.

Q. I think it would eventually end, and people may where mask for a considerable amount of time, then go back to normal. The problem is the economy more so than having to change back to in person appointments and no mask requirements.

S. I don't think many people would admit that, but I'm more afraid of the vaccine being made mandatory. Unless its a bomb threat, I have reservations on it.

T. Pretty much me.

I don't think anyone in their right mind would be happy about the pandemic.
If we lived in a world with a prevalence of good sense, we would learn that messing up with the natural world is bad for all parts involved and that we need to have better habits so we can give our bodies a chance to fight back when under attack, from a virus, bacteria, etc. Something tells me that's not going to happen

I think the pandemic is a pain in the *** all round. For me it's made little difference other than isolating me from my family and prevented us from visiting people and places

To others it has been disastrous, effecting business small and large, putting national economies back years.

It has divided friends, those who take precautions with masking, social distancing and the other sanitary measures, and those who don't.

One thing for sure, it will take a long time for the world, countries, businesses, family and friends to recover from the fallout

C. The pandemic has affected my life and changed my daily routine but that does not bother me.

That's mostly true for me. I do miss hugging people and seeing friends but that is starting to ease (I hope).

R. I think about the pandemic and believe it will eventually end but nothing will go back to the way it was before.

"nothing" is too extreme. The pandemic is bringing a lot of 'sewage' to the surface which is necessary before something better can replace what has been.

One example is the world-wide cooperation that led to the development of many vaccines including a spectacular new technology: mRNA. Distribution etc is another matter but medicine has been helped and people will benefit long after the pandemic has ended.

C. The pandemic has affected some things in my life and my daily routine but that does not bother me. Some of these changes have been an improvement.

E. My life was/is such a mess so the pandemic couldn’t make it any worse.

F. I am not glad this pandemic happened because so many people died although in some ways I am better off now.

G. I am not glad this pandemic happened because many people have died and will die, but I am glad in the sense that I believe the world as a whole is better off now.

I. I think the pandemic has made the world situation better overall. Mainly what I see is positive change and people banding together in unity in order to solve problems. I believe the world needs an overhaul (social, economic, political) and this pandemic has instigated change. It has also instigated new scientific discoveries, such as in the vaccine development.

N. I think about the pandemic a little.

R. I think about the pandemic and believe it will eventually end. I think that some things will go back to the way they were before and some things will not go back to the way they were before. I wish some things would never go back to the way they were but that is a pipe dream because most people are materialistic and live only for the world (eat drink and be merry) and unfortunately the pandemic has done little to change that. It would probably take an act of God to change people and even then some people would never change.

T. I think about the pandemic but I am not afraid of dying.

IMO, this whole pandemic mess sucks.
Big time.
Though I have learned that people really love their confirmation bias.
That even though people claim to want the truth, they in fact do not care about the truth if it goes against what they want to believe.
that people are far more ignorant about HIPAA, the Constitution, and even laws in general than I am.
that herd mentality is much more common than expected
the amount of ignorance of cross contamination is startling higher than expected

the list goes on and on and on.....

Do you wish it would go back to the way it was before?
Me personally, no.
I prefer to know just how ridiculous the world actually is.
And now I know it a lot better, not by being told about it, not by guessing about it, not by statistics, but by actually witnessing the ridiculousness for myself.

Its complicated for me.

The pandemic is a tragedy. But, historically, its not isolated. There have been pandemics in the past that were every bit as tragic as this one. I feel a solemn connection with those who came before me, and ponder at the inconveniences they went through as well. Its made me feel part of something bigger than myself.

I have lost the small amount of faith I had in society. At the beginning of this, I was hermited because I found it impossible to find and make friends. Now I've lost all interest, based on some of the crazy things I've seen or heard of spurred by this pandemic, and I am a hermit by choice. I don't really like where things have headed, and I don't want any part of it.

The inconveniences are annoying. Things are not stocked as readily as they once were in the stores. Hours are shorter. Nothing's open 24 hours here anymore. I've gotten over it for the most part, though I still grumble to myself sometimes.

But honestly, I don't give a rat's *** about the masks.

'The pandemic' isn't over. There continue to be new strains. This will change the face of humanity even if we start to gain immunity in the short run.

It remains possible that this virus could wipe us out, extinct. All it has to do is mutate a little in just the wrong ways.

Every society in basically every generation has its challenges, but the pandemic matched with the political nonsense was and is almost too much to bear for so many.

As for me, I'm sortofa "go with the flow" sorta guy, but ya there was definitely some things that have and continue to irk me. But getting outside a lot and being with our family has helped tons.

I like that perspective, making you feel part of something bigger than yourself, because I believe we are. :).
I have lost the small amount of faith I had in society. At the beginning of this, I was hermited because I found it impossible to find and make friends. Now I've lost all interest, based on some of the crazy things I've seen or heard of spurred by this pandemic, and I am a hermit by choice. Why have you lost the small amount of faith you had in society?
Where do you think things are headed?

Before this pandemic I was isolated by choice. Now it is out of safety concerns but I can't say I would/will change and become more social when the pandemic ends. I cannot predict the future and I have no plans. I live in a state of limbo.

I don't think it will totally wipe us out but I think it will continue as long as God wills, until God sees what He wants to see. That could take a long time because most humans are basically selfish and materialistic. I feel bad for people who have lost jobs and businesses but I think that will eventually be resolved. I don't feel bad for people who had their recreational or social activities or vacation plans disrupted because these are not vital to life.
