Is demonIatry left handed? I'm getting mix result looking it up. Also if someone would explain the difference between left handed and right handed paths as I am finding a lot of different definitions. I am thinking I am leaning towards a left handed path but do not know

You're best off being ambidextrous, so if one fails, the other takes command.
I too am perplexed at times as to the intention of a particular cosmology, but resort to my wits in the end. The right-hand path is one of least resistance.

I never thought of that.

@Isolde Schulz Wait if left handed path involves self deifaction and right handed path is worship outside yourself then wouldn't it be impossible to be. ambidextrous so to speak? Or do you have a different defination of left handed path?

Is demonIatry left handed?
It would depend upon your perception/definition of:
  • a demon
  • worship
  • self (conscious mind/ego only or also including greater unconscious mind)
  • other/outside of self (actual separate being or a psychological complex)

Demonolatry is the 'worship' of spiritual creatures while Demonology is the 'study' of them.

The Left Hand Path is the path of non-union with the objective universe, the way of isolating consciousness within the subjective universe and, in a state of self-imposed psychic solitude, refining the soul or psyche to increasingly perfect levels. The objective universe is then made to harmonize itself with the will of the individual psyche.

Right Hand Path religions share a single, universal perennial doctrine. This doctrine posits that the highest good that human life can achieve is through the union with a Supreme Being / Energy/All of the Universe. However, the way in which this is achieved is through the deception of one's conscious awareness into believing that one has been accepted by this Supreme Being/Energy/All otherwise known as the objective universe, which can be understood as it plainly is, a non-conscious, unaware, unintelligent, mechanism of Negentropy and Entropy, composed of Time, Space & Matter. To absolve oneself self into this is antithetic to the Western LHP goals of individuation, apotheosis, and autotheism.

The Left Hand Path is also a path of logic and rationality, seeking the Truths in the Universe and ourselves. Being that Demonaltry is the worshiping of 'demons' and that 'demons' have yet to be objectively found, experienced, or known, I would say that the LHP is not compatible with something such as Demonaltry since we don't pander to fantasy, delusion, and pseudo-science.

Working with demons can be left hand, right hand or middle pillar. Some practitioners might disagree but consider Solomon.
