"Left" and "Right" are always relative. In the U.S. Biden is slightly left of center. In Europe he would be rather far right. It would be rather useless if both Democrats and Republicans were classified as "Right".
I would argue Biden is actually slightly right of center. Most democrats are. Progressivism is a about pushing the Overton window back to the center because right now, the acceptable positions in US politics is only center and right. The problem is thinking that if there's only two parties one must be left and one must be right. That's only relative to each other, not to political science.

Compared to the far Left maybe but still, the Left in America are enablers. Biden gave the green light and illegal's started flooding in again.
We don't have a 'far left.' We live in a bizarro country so uneducated that things like socialized medicine or border crossing as a civil law issue is seen as 'far left' when it's the center right position in better developed countries all around us.

That makes the relative rating all but worthless. Biden is probably to the right of many posters here, but that does not make him right or even center right.

What you condescendingly call uneducated others call not indoctrinated. The theory that a country that can’t manage anything well, not even it’s own borders, could miraculously manage a healthcare system doesn’t require much education to dismiss anyway.

BTW, when one of the ACA architects bragged that they relied on “the stupidity of the American voter” to get the bill passed, he wasn’t talking about the people that you look down on. ;) We knew they were full of it!

Yea who needs a wall?
No one. People just go around, under, over, and through them.
We need 21st century technology for the boarder. It's cheaper, it greatly boosts the amount of the boarder than can be watched, it can watch the board better, doesn't disrupt the environment, and did I mention it's cheaper?
Walls were good when the Babylonians were keeping out the raiding Sumerians, and when China was trying to keep out the Mongolian horde. They didn't have drones, thermal vision and night vision, satellite surveillance, they could barely track movement underground. Today we can. Why do we want ancient and primitive technology when we have 21st century technology readily available?

So glad to known Republicans and Conservatives are so dismissive that you'd dismiss things that even work well as not being managed well. Like the military. The US Military is very capable.
And do you realize things like medicare and medicaid does not have the government running healthcare? When I was a case manager, I never even saw a government agent or official, and never had them telling me what to do, even though most clients had government insurance.
And, no, there is no far-Left in US politics. They only exist as ghost stories Conservatives tell themselves around the campfire.

Oh yea, our military is managed well:

I'm not talking about political positions relative to just one other. I'm talking about if you plotted them out in a range, democrats would be fairly centrist. They have nothing in common with truly leftist parties like reformed or socialist parties. Or even center left to moderate left like green parties.
On the compass graph nothing in American politics even crosses out of quadrant 2 except Bernie.

The Political Compass

He's definitely right. The more recent one has him in the upper right corner, not very far away from Trump.

I say uneducated because it's literally, incontrovertibly true. American education is extremely low compared to other developed nations, especially in both physical science and polisci. People who think democrats are anything like 'hard left' literally don't know what they're talking about.

Also, most aforementioned countries handle border crossings as a civil penalty, with little to no incarceration time, and deportations only after multiple offenses.

Then again they don't also wreck neighboring countries with adventurism and set up banana republics or dummy leaders after backing revolutions and interfering with free votes, then blame them for being poor and unstable. But that's another thread for another time.

It seems a prime opportunity to bring up capital punishment in the US. Anti-abortion and death penalty advocates: spoken like a true fisherman, throw them back until they are bigger.

Nothing is perfect. But the article is hogwash. I mean, 21 trillion? Don't you think that's outrageously high? The US national debt isn't much higher than that.
The Misleading Claim That $21 Trillion in Misspent Pentagon Funds Could Pay for ‘Medicare for All’ (Published 2018)
For starters, the combined Pentagon budget from 1998 to 2015 was $9.2 trillion.
It comes from an analysis of the Pentagon’s “unsupported journal voucher adjustments,” by Mark Skidmore, an economist at Michigan State University. The term refers to improperly documented accounting adjustments that are made when different financial ledgers do not match.

In other words, $21 trillion is the total value of adjustments made to the Pentagon’s financial records over those years that could not be traced.

That is not the same thing as $21 trillion in spending.
Has Our Government Spent $21 Trillion Of Our Money Without Telling Us?
Given that the entire Army budget in fiscal year 2015 was $120 billion, unsupported adjustments were 54 times the level of spending authorized by Congress.

It was obvious that you are indoctrinated.
