A quote from: MAGICK: It's All In Your Head
Asbjorn Torvol
NEXT to the Law of Mentalism and mind the second most important concept in the foundation of the magicians magick. Just like the rest of my foundation this goes straight back to Hermeticism. As above, so below; as below, so above. — The Kybalion This law of correspondence embodies the concept that which is “above” is like to that which is “below”, and that which is “below” is like to that which is “above. The “above” is a reference to the macrocosm, the very large or the totality, while the “below” is a reference to the microcosm, the small or the individual. At its core this law tells us that the macrocosm, the seemingly outside/external world is but a reflection of our inner world/self. They are reflections of each other that cannot be separated. Just as each individual exists within the all, the all also exists within each individual.
Can someone explain this for me? I am having a hard time grasping it.
