The Memorial of Jesus’ Death

On the night before he died, Jesus told his followers to commemorate his death. He said:

Keep doing this in remembrance of me.”Luke 22:19.

This year, the annual observance of the death of Jesus Christ will be held on Saturday, March 27. We invite you to join us for this special occasion.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Alert: Because of the pandemic, this event will be held virtually. To learn how to connect to this event, ask one of Jehovah’s Witnesses or click the button below.

I only hope the worst of the pandemic will subside and that we can resume our normal lives again.....but I now think we have a new definition of "normal".

For Christians, meeting in person is an important part of our active spiritual life, but these days we have to adjust to keep the safety of other first in mind. Our Memorial this year will be like last year.....small scale and distanced from personal contact with others, which is especially important in lands where the pandemic is still raging and people are on high alert. It doesn't take much for it to take off again if people become complacent.

Stay safe everyone.

Just a reminder that Saturday 27th March is the Anniversary of the death of Jesus Christ after sundown, and our invitations have been going out to people for the past couple of weeks. I hope you have received a personal invitation from the congregation of JW's where you live. If not please accept this invitation as I am sure that the talk and the commemoration will highlight the importance of Jesus' death, and why Easter is not the way to honor Christ.
