Energy transfer

Unveiled Artist

Veteran Member
I'm not knowledgeable in physics so this is more of a yes/no/short answer for dummies

Can energy/
What type of energy/
and/or
is there a type of energy...

that can transfer to other people or inanimate objects?
or,
because we are all energy, there is no need for transition (if the answer to the laws question is yes)?

This is energy related to physics.
If there is a spiritual energy, I wouldn't know where to begin to address the nature of it.

Thanks

Scientifically speaking, food is a form of chemical energy that is metabolized in the body. Is that what you mean?

Not quite. Can chemical energy be transferred (can't think of how at the moment) to other people or "held" in inanimate objects?

I think one example (guess) if kinetic energy could be transferred as in, maybe, in having sex when both movements feed off each other (can't think of a more rated G example). I don't know if that can be related to chemical energy.

HEAT.
Animate.
Just put your cold feet on the belly of a loved one. The heat will transfer from her belly to warm up your toes.

Inanimate.
Feel the toilet seat after sitting there a few minutes. Your butt transferred heat to the plastic (wood, whatever).

If I push you, I have transferred energy, but that's kinetic energy. If you're thinking of some kind of spiritual energy, there's no evidence for that.

Would my falling be a transfer of that energy?

(The last sentence of my OP excluded spiritual energy. I'm not sure the nature of that would be)

Methinks you have this wrong, if hubby puts his cold feet on my belly its his ear that gets very warm very quickly

Yes, when you hit the floor, you energy would transfer to the floor. If the building were poorly constructed, you'd feel it shake as a result.

I imagine you can trigger in others a biochemical reaction that feels "energetic". Adrenalin? Art, music could trigger this effect. You create a piece of art, the image, symbolism can trigger various responses.

You see someone say inspiring words, perform some ritual over an inanimate object. This could trigger in you, others such a response.

Spiritual energy is the ability to trigger these biochemical responses in others.

Of course. If I hit you a baseball bat, that will transfer a lot of kinetic energy to your head.

It's not true to say we are all energy.

Energy is a property of a physical system, not stuff. So you can say we all have energy - of various sorts - but not that we are energy.

As others have pointed out there are many ways in which energy, usually in the form of heat or kinetic energy, can pass between two people.

Spiritual energy does not exist in physical science.

If you fall, you transfer gravitational potential energy to kinetic energy. When you hit the ground, that energy is converted largely to heat, but also, a bit, into the sound it makes.

What is spiritual energy?

I mean all energy; that which composes the universe, and which sometimes is expressed as mass.

(apologies if I'm leading you astray from the intent of the OP).

You're not. The OP was a reflection of a TED Talk. The speaker said we were all energy-but he did it from a brain neuroscientific perspective. I'd have to watch it a couple of times to get what he meant. I assume whatever energy keeps the body functioning its true of the brain as well.
